December 9-15 2013 Astrology Forecast: Magical Quintiles!

quintile - magical inspiration JPG

Quintiles – magical 72° “fairy dust” aspects of creativity and divine inspiration – dominate this week’s “skylights.” Four quintile pairings include Mars-Jupiter, Venus-Uranus, Sun-Neptune, and Mercury-Mars.

Mars, already involved in two quintiles, further asserts himself with a quincunx to Neptune and a semi-square to Saturn. A Vesta-Jupiter-Pluto T-square begins to energize and transform selfless service, while a Jupiter-Saturn trine contributes some helpful equilibrium into the mix.

12/9 (Mon)

Be ready to take action on creative inspiration as Libran Mars quintiles Jupiter. Fresh insight and energy are also available for physical activities, sexuality and relationships.

12/10 (Tue)

Tuesday is loaded with powerful aspects. Buckle your seatbelt!

Flashes of inspiration relating to relationships, creativity and finances can be more frequent with Venus quintile Uranus. With Venus in Capricorn, these insights may be especially helpful in business and practical matters–especially if you’re ready to move in new directions!

Intuitive flashes on all subjects may come to you more easily with Sagittarian Mercury trine Uranus. Try asking your inner wisdom for guidance instead of relying exclusively on rationality and logic.

A Vesta-Pluto square is part of an aspect pattern that will be active Dec. 15-25. Please see my 12/15 interpretation for the Vesta-Jupiter-Pluto T-square for a full understanding of this aspect.

At the most basic level, a Mercury-Chiron square can focus your attention where healing or mentoring is needed. With Mercury in Sagittarius, it can be appropriate to focus healing and mentoring in the areas of religion and philosophy.

Sagittarian Sun quincunx Jupiter

Sagittarius and Jupiter both represent expansion. With the Sun in the sign and quincunxing the planet, be careful not to “supersize” things excessively. But with appropriate adjustments in place, this energy can fuel quests and adventures of all descriptions!

12/11 (Wed)

What do you get with Pallas Athena trine Pluto? Easy empowerment of strategizing, practical creativity and feminine assertiveness. Also stay alert for appropriate opportunities for release or transformation in these areas.

12/12 (Thu)

Inspiration on how to bring more experiential spirituality into your religious practice is available with the Sagittarian Sun quintile Neptune. You may also receive fresh insight relating to a quest you’re on, higher education or foreign cultures.

Jupiter Trine Saturn

Jupiter and Saturn are the polar opposites of ancient astrology. Jupiter expands, Saturn contracts. They also represent the polarities of optimism and pessimism, adventurousness and conservatism, exuberance and depression, joyousness and seriousness, and more.

With Jupiter trining Saturn, such opposing polarities can balance each other more comfortably than usual. With Jupiter in Cancer, family matters can enjoy increased stability.

12/13 (Fri)

Hard aspects between Mars (action) and Neptune (ideals) can breed fanatical behavior. Under the current Mars-Neptune quincunx, make whatever adjustments are needed to avoid the soapbox preacher syndrome.

Used positively, this aspect can manifest as clear vision supported by harmonious action. With Mars in Libra, it’s also a great time to act on artistic inspiration!

12/14 (Sat)

A semi-square between Libran Mars and Saturn can feel like driving with the brakes on, especially in the areas of relationship and creative expression. But your willingness to overcome obstacles can give you Energizer Bunny endurance wherever you focus.

12/15 (Sun)

Thinking and communicating get a creative boost with Sagittarian Mercury quintile Mars. This aspect is great for mental adventurousness, so let your thoughts boldly go where they’ve never gone before!

T-square: Vesta-Jupiter-Pluto

A T-square fires up today between Vesta, Jupiter and Pluto. This challenging aspect pattern peaks on 12/21 and ends on 12/25.

What causes are you devoted to outside your own selfish interests? They might be getting a reality check under this T-square.

If you feel enthusiastic support for what you’re doing, this aspect is empowering your activities. But if you’re losing interest, transformation is required, or the cause itself is petering out, then it’s time for change or release.

With Jupiter involved, the causes in question may relate to religion, philosophy or foreign cultures.

Void-of-Course Moons

It’s best to avoid starting important new projects or making major purchases during void-of-course Moons. “Business as usual” is the optimal strategy. Void-of-course Moons occur when the Moon has made her last major Ptolemaic aspect, but has not yet moved into her next sign.

12/12, 10:38 am – 3:42 pm (Taurus)
12/14, 9:55 pm – 12/15, 1:42 am (Gemini)

Whatever your Sun Sign, Benjamin’s forecasts can help you make the best use of the current astrological energies.

All dates and times are in the U.S. eastern time zone. Events are most powerful on the dates listed, but their influence will be active for at least several days before and after.

Everyone is affected by these global transits. However, you will be most powerfully impacted when moving planets activate sensitive points in your natal chart.
