Hot Spots in Your Chart through March

Hot Spot VolcanoDo you have any sensitive points in your natal chart between 14° and 17° in the mutable signs Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces? If so, make hay while the Sun is shining. Those points are being simultaneously activated by all three outer planets. This means that they’re receiving one of the most powerful astrological stimulations they’ll ever get!

14° to 17° mutable is the hottest party in town, but it isn’t the only one. Other degree ranges receiving notable stimulation from two or three transiting outers through March include:

  • 14° to 17° cardinal and fixed, as well as
  • 29° cardinal thru 3° fixed.

Cardinal includes Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn, while fixed encompasses Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. The advice I give below also applies to these points, but they won’t be stimulated as intensely as the mutable points.

By the way, a “sensitive point” is a personal planet (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars), an angle (the cusp of the first, fourth, seventh or tenth house), the lunar nodes, and any planet that rules an angle.

14° to 17° Mutable

Regarding 14° to 17° mutable, the most direct catalyst is Neptune, currently at 15° Pisces. Neptune is conjoining those sensitive points in Pisces, opposing them in Virgo, and squaring them in Gemini and Sagittarius. Neptune brings flow and inspiration to that which serves your highest good, and strives to dissolve that which doesn’t.

Next up is Pluto at 19° Capricorn. It sextiles those sensitive points in Pisces, quincunxes them in Gemini, trines them in Virgo and semi-sextiles them in Sagittarius. Rather than worry about the meanings of all these different aspects, let’s stay with the big picture. These sensitive points are being aspected by mighty Pluto, the bringer of death and rebirth! This god of change encourages the release and transformation of what doesn’t serve your highest good, and showers wealth and power on what does.

The final outer planet, Uranus at 2° Taurus, energizes those sensitive points with minor hard aspects. Pisces and Gemini receive 45° semi-squares, while Virgo and Sagittarius receive 135° sesquares. Uranus pops down intuitive flashes to help you stay on track with your reasons for incarnating. He can reward you with high-voltage excitement when you’re in compliance, or can jangle you with anxiety and nervousness when you aren’t.

Second-tier stimulation is provided to these sensitive points via four different aspects from Chiron (1° Aries). He can bring up your old wounds for healing and empower your work as a mentor or healer. The social planets Jupiter and Saturn are giving minor catalyst to the sensitive points, but their influence will be gone within weeks and isn’t worth detailing here.

The two slowest outer planets, Pluto and Neptune, will double-team the 14° to 17° mutable range through October. Neptune and Uranus will give this degree range dual stimulation through March 2019. The less powerful but still notable pairing of Uranus and Chiron will likewise shine their shared energies in this degree range through March.

If you have a sensitive point in the above degree ranges, it’s currently receiving one of the most powerful stimulations of your lifetime. It doesn’t matter whether you have opportunities that needs development or challenges that needs to be faced. I recommend that you put your attention on these matters now, while the immense power of the outer planets is there to support you!
