A rare and extraordinary Kite aspect pattern featuring all four asteroid goddesses highlights the second half of July. It’s a wonderful opportunity to integrate a wide variety of feminine energies!

The Sun makes two aspects today. Open yourself to a quantum leap with the Sun square Uranus (24°26′ Cancer-Aries). This square also energizes embodying your authentic self, intuitive flashes and breakthroughs in family relations.

A Sun-Mars trine (25°0′ Cancer-Scorpio) provides a smooth flow of vitality for physical activity, self-expression and nurturing. It can also help you take immediate action on those intuitive flashes from Uranus! This trine is part of the Sun-Mars-Chiron Grand Trine that started on 7/8, peaks tomorrow and ends on 7/24.

Harmonious communication is one great way to use a Mercury-Venus conjunction (5°45′ Leo). This setup is also ideal for all types of creative expression and performance.

Grand Trine Peaks: Sun-Mars-Chiron

The Sun-Mars-Chiron Grand Trine that started on 7/8 peaks today and ends on 7/24. With applied energy from you, it can smoothly support:

• Nurturing mentoring in areas such as leadership, sexuality, assertiveness and warriorship,
• transformative healing in the same areas,
• offering heart-centered teachings in these areas, and
• opening your entire being to new levels of reality in the fires of shamanic transformation!

The meaning of a Sun-Chiron trine (25°4′ Cancer-Pisces) and a Mars-Chiron trine (25°4′ Scorpio-Pisces), both part of today’s peaking Sun-Mars-Chiron Grand Trine, are included in my interpretation of that aspect pattern.

7/18 (Mon)

Kite Begins with All Four Asteroid Goddesses!

No matter what gender (or shade thereof) you consider your physical body to be, you currently have a rare opportunity to more easily integrate your feminine archetypes. The four major asteroid goddesses are forming a Kite that starts today, peaks on 8/1 and ends on 8/13. This aspect pattern is a Grand Trine (equilateral triangle) with a fourth point that makes it look like an old-fashioned kite.

Each asteroid goddess represents a different facet of the feminine archetype. In brief:

• Pallas Athena, the warrior goddess, can kick butt and take names when she needs to. Characters who participate in her feminine assertiveness include Wonder Woman, Black Widow, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She also invites you to cultivate strategy and practical creativity.
• Vesta strives to cultivate purity, discipline and focus. She is happiest when using her finely honed skills to serve a higher cause. She can supercharge her work by focusing her orgasmic power with sex magic.
• Juno is the devoted partner who places great value upon her committed relationships. The trick in this day and age is to nurture her beloved while also ensuring that her own needs and desires are fulfilled.
• Ceres, a/k/a Demeter, can represent abundance as the harvest goddess. Because of what she went through when Pluto abducted her daughter Persephone, she can also represent the themes of sorrow, mother-daughter relationships, and release and return.

Integrating the Goddesses

With one exception, this Kite harmoniously connects all four asteroid goddesses. This allows you to integrate all these archetypes more comfortably.

This doesn’t mean you have to manifest all these qualities simultaneously! It suggests you could have them all available to arise as needed, rather than being limited to certain ones.

The only hard aspect in this Kite is an opposition between Juno and Ceres. Are you reaping a bountiful harvest from your key partnerships? If so, there may be good reason to continue. If not, would it be better to fertilize this field or let it lay fallow?

If you’re not sure which of these archetypal energies to cultivate first, consider starting with Ceres. As the Kite point, she is this aspect pattern’s focal point.

 7/19 (Tue)

Capricorn Full Moon

July’s Full Moon shines forth at 6:56:31 pm EDT (27°40′ Capricorn). Any Capricorn full Moon is great for taking stock of how you’re doing in the following areas:

• maturity
• discipline
• time management
• being the wise elder
• planning your work and working your plan

Also check in to see if you’re embodying Capricorn’s shadow side:

• Are you being cold and impersonal?
• Are you acting as if the ends justify the means?
• Are you seeing others mainly as pawns to be manipulated?

Full Moons are an ideal time to see what’s already in motion, then modify or release as appropriate.

Aspects

This Full Moon features a complex web of aspects. Fortunately, they’re all pretty much contained in two aspect patterns.

Asteroid Goddesses

We can deal with three of the six planets aspecting the Sun and Moon as a group. The asteroid goddesses Juno and Ceres square the luminaries, while Vesta forms an extremely tight quincunx.

As I detailed in yesterday’s forecast, all four asteroid goddesses are currently tightening their Kite. (Click to learn more about this aspect pattern.) Synchronistically, the only two asteroid goddesses in the Kite making a hard aspect to each other are also making the most challenging aspects to the luminaries! Ceres opposes Juno, and they both square the Sun and Moon.

In yesterday’s Kite interpretation, the Ceres-Juno opposition inspired me to ask:

Are you reaping a bountiful harvest from your key partnerships? If so, there may be good reason to continue. If not, would it be better to fertilize this field or let it lay fallow?

The Grand Cross formed by the Sun, Moon, Ceres and Juno .. and Uranus! … asks…

• Are your committed partnerships productive and moving you toward your most important goals (Capricorn Moon)?
• Is the energy of healing and nurturing (Cancer Sun) strong enough?
• Do your committed partnerships support you in being your authentic self, following your intuitive flashes, and serving the collective with your greatest gifts?

The nearly exact quincunx between Vesta and the Moon asks what adjustments you can make to harmonize with her distinctive energies. As a reminder, Vesta strives to cultivate purity, discipline and focus. She is happiest when using her finely honed skills to serve a higher cause. And she can focus her orgasmic power with sex magic to supercharge her work.

Pallas Athena, the fourth asteroid goddess in their Kite, doesn’t form an aspect to the Moon. But even though she’s not technically part of this Full Moon interpretation, her energy is still very much in the air!

Kite: Moon-Sun-Mars-Chiron

We have a second Kite to consider as well. The Moon adds a Kite point to the existing Sun-Mars-Chiron Grand Trine that peaked two days ago on 7/17. Life themes stimulated by this include:

• nurturing,
• mentoring,
• healing,
• leadership,
• sexuality,
• assertiveness, and
• warriorship.

Sabian Symbol

This Full Moon’s Sabian Symbol is, “A large aviary.” As Lynda Hill points out in her wonderful Sabian Symbol book 360 Degrees of Wisdom, this environment would likely be populated by lots of noisy birds! The cacophony of songs, shrieks and squawks could be considered a metaphor for the hyper-distracted environment many of us live in, full of texts, emails and other mentally scattering intrusions. An aviary is also an artificially enclosed environment.

How much helpful awareness and experience are you filtering out — including other dimensions of consciousness — with your habitual distractions ? In the spirit of the Capricorn Full Moon, would it serve you to minimize or eliminate some of those distractions so you can focus on what’s really important

Your ability to manifest the reality you desire gets a boost as Mercury makes two aspects: a Mercury-Saturn trine (10°16′ Leo-Sagittarius) and a Mercury-Neptune quincunx (11°42′ Leo-Pisces). In a Law of Attraction context, Neptune amplifies visualization and Saturn empowers crystallization. Mercury represents your mental focus. These aspects also combine to support embodied awakening, dissolving what no longer serves you, and delivering your creative gifts to your audience.

A more solid foundation for your relationships, creativity and finances is available with Venus trine Saturn (10°13′ Leo-Sagittarius). This aspect also supports getting productive and practical with your creative endeavors.

7/21 (Thu)

An appropriate adjustment could help you receive more creative inspiration, connect more consciously with your higher self and perceive the divine in other beings — all thanks to a Venus-Neptune quincunx (11°40′ Leo-Pisces). With Venus in Leo, it’s a great time to express your creativity into the world!

7/22 (Fri)

The Sun enters Leo today, radiating astrology’s most multifaceted archetype for the next month. Leo rules the sovereign and the entertainer, as well as speculation, risk, playfulness, children, and just taking it easy.

In combination, these aspects open the door to “Eureka!” moments, especially in the context of healing or mentoring. You could be receiving the breakthrough or catalyzing it for someone else!

Uranus Retrograde

Uranus turns retrograde today at 24°30′ Aries. The Weirdo Planet will turn direct again on 12/29.

Uranus behaves pretty much the same whether it’s moving backwards forward. But since a planet is most powerful when it changes directions, Uranus is broadcasting a lot of power into a tight degree range.

If your natal chart has any sensitive points between 21° and 28° in the Cardinal signs – Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn – you’ll l feel this Uranus energy with special intensity. The closer your natal points are to 24°30′, the more powerful the effect will be.

If a life area represented by that natal point isn’t in harmony with your soul purpose, you’ll experience Uranus’ more challenging effects. These can include agitation, irritability, nervousness, anxiety, and chaos.

If the life area is in harmony, you’ll be doing some or all of the following:

• expressing your authentic self,
• receiving and following your intuitive flashes, and/or
• serving the collective with your gifts in that area.

Double-Pointed Kite Begins: Mercury and the Asteroid Goddesses

The Kite featuring all four asteroid goddesses is augmented by a fifth member today: Mercury. The Double-Pointed Kite made possible by the winged messenger begins today (7/29), peaks on 8/1 and ends on 8/5.

The meaning of the original Kite remains the same. But the addition of Mercury can energize you to learn more about how you’re embodying the energy of these asteroid goddesses. It could also inspire you to share information about them, or the effects you’re experiencing from them.

Exercise caution with Mercury square Mars (28°36′ Leo-Scorpio). It could be easier than usual to yammer on endlessly or chew someone out. But this square can also energize creative writing, public speaking, singing or any type of creative expression.

Mercury transits Virgo today through 10/7 – much longer than it usually spends in one sign. That’s because the winged messenger will turn retrograde in the last degree of Virgo on 8/30 and spend his entire retrograde in the sixth sign. That gives you lots of time to focus your mind on service, healing and taking things to the next level of perfection!
