The Story So Far
As June opens, we have two retrograde planets: Saturn thru 7/8 and Pluto thru 9/20. And the pervasive energies of revolutionary transformation (a Uranus-Pluto square), as well as universal love, compassion and spiritual awakening (Neptune in Pisces), remain powerful for years to come!
It’s best to avoid starting important new projects or making major purchases during these times. “Business as usual” is the best strategy for these periods, which occur when the Moon has made its last major Ptolemaic aspect but has not yet moved into the next sign.

I don’t usually include this “Concise Forecast” section in these monthly posts. But since I had already written a June forecast for Natural Awakenings, I figured I’d go ahead and include it! (This is longer than the version that appears in the magazine.)
See my weekly forecasts for expanded interpretations and additional events.
June’s astrological weather is dominated by two triangular configurations of planets called aspect patterns. One, the Grand Trine, is flowing and harmonious. The other, the T-Square, radiates challenge for growth.
Four Grand Trines: Visualize and Manifest!
There are four Grand Trines that either begin or peak in June. In fact, there are only four days this month when a Grand Trine isn’t happening!
All of the Grand Trines involve Neptune and Saturn. Mercury, Ceres, the Sun and Jupiter occupy the third corner of this equilateral triangle, alone or in combination.
Whenever Neptune and Saturn connect, the Law of Attraction is empowered. In this context, Neptune represents visualization and imagination. Saturn represents crystallization and physical manifestation. So holding the vision of what you want to attract into your life now is receiving special empowerment!
The most powerful of these Grand Trines, and the one that lasts the longest, is the one involving Jupiter, Neptune and Saturn. It starts 6/18, peaks on 7/17, and ends on 8/16. So for most of the summer, your law of attraction manifestations receive a major boost!
Because this Grand Trine is in the water signs, visualizations that relate to family, nurturing and security (Jupiter in Cancer), transformation, sacred sexuality and occult practices (Saturn in Scorpio) and spiritual union and divinely inspired creativity (Neptune in Pisces) receive an extra measure of support.
The energy of these Grand Trines will be strongest in June around 6/3, 6/7, and 6/26.
Three T-Squares: Revolutionize Your Transformation!
Just as this month’s Grand Trines all involved Neptune and Saturn, June’s three T-Squares (geometrical right triangles) all include Uranus and Pluto. Uranus and Pluto were conjunct in the 60s, and were the main astrological factor which made that decade such a radical time of revolutionary transformation all over the world.
Uranus and Pluto are now forming a 90° square, their most powerful connection since that turbulent time. This is the most important Western astrological event of the decade, and will make the 2010s feel like “The 60s Part Two.” Phenomena such as the Arab Spring and the Occupy movements were just the warm-ups for the profound changes we’ll see during this pivotal decade.
Uranus and Pluto form T-Squares with Mercury, Venus and the Sun in June. These are active 6/3 thru 6/17 and 6/25 thru 7/11, and are strongest around 6/7, 6/12, and 7/2.
A good rule of thumb during these periods is to unquestioningly carry out the guidance given to you by your intuitive flashes. In addition, release everything from your life that does not empower your evolution and awakening. The more you follow these guidelines, the more you will simply know what things to do in each moment. And you’ll be filled with the divine power to do them!
June’s New Moon occurs on 6/8 at 11:56 AM (18°00′ Gemini). This is an excellent time for new beginnings in the areas of learning, communicating, variety and playfulness.
With a tight trine to Juno, this New Moon can bring some ease and flow to domestic partnerships. And the Moon’s loose conjunction to Jupiter adds a sense of hope, optimism and expansion.
The Sabian Symbol for this New Moon is, “Two Chinese men talking Chinese in a western crowd.” By imagining this as a harmonious scene, it illustrates tolerance for diversity. As an illustration of a general principle, the symbol tells us that it’s okay to let the world see what’s unique about you. If you’re still playing the conformist, in what ways can you let the true nature of your personality shine forth more freely?
Watch for “challenge for growth” opportunities in your relationships, finances and creativity around 6/12 as the Venus-Uranus-Pluto T-Square peaks. With Venus in Cancer, these energies may be particularly strong in your family interactions.
The Sun enters Cancer on 6/21, initiating the Summer Solstice at 1:04 AM. For the next month, the themes of domesticity, family, nurturing and security will be more prominent.
June’s Full Moon shines forth on 6/23 at 7:32 AM (2°09′ Capricorn). Check how “full-filled” you are with your career, reputation, discipline, maturity, responsibility and time management. Make adjustments as needed.
This lunation forms a Kite aspect pattern that includes Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune as well as the Sun and Moon. This further amplifies the extraordinary manifestation potential of the Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune Grand Trine discussed above.
This Full Moon’s Sabian Symbol is, “The human soul, in its eagerness for new experiences, seeks embodiment.” If you’re reading this, that’s you! The symbol reminds us to remember what we really are: pure awareness, indestructible and eternal. The more you consciously operate as the divine being that you truly are, the less the challenges of this human incarnation will cause you suffering.
Mercury turns retrograde on 6/26 at 9:07 AM. It will turn direct again on 7/20 at 2:23 PM. During this interval, avoid initiating major new projects or making major purchases if possible. However, it’s an excellent time to complete projects already started, and to engage in introspection and reflection.
Communications and technology are more easily disrupted during Mercury retrograde. So make sure you’re understanding and being understood, and back up all your critical information.
This Mercury retrograde takes place within Cancer. Reflection on family, security, nurturing and healing are especially supported.
Check back weekly for updated forecasts.
Whatever your Sun Sign, Benjamin’s forecasts can help you make the best use of the current astrological energies.
Events are most powerful on the dates listed, but their influence will be active for at least several days before and after. Everyone is affected by these global transits. However, you will be most powerfully impacted when moving planets activate sensitive points in your natal chart.
All dates and times are in the U.S. eastern time zone.
