Welcome to one of the busiest and most intense astrological weeks I’ve ever seen! Revolutionary transformation peaks once again with another Uranus-Pluto square (#4 of 7), the supremely powerful multi-year aspect series that’s turning the 2010s into the 60s Part 2.
The week also features a potent solar eclipse in Scorpio, whose transformational intensity is enhanced by a boatload of powerful aspects. And the latest peak of a multi-year Chiron-Pluto sextile amplifies healing and mentoring opportunities.
Beware Mars mischief as the Red Planet makes three strong aspects on Halloween. And this week’s aspect patterns are also attention-getters: two Cradles, three Yods and a Double Yod Key!
Healing and mentoring are significantly empowered as Piscean Chiron sextiles Pluto. If you experience emotional or psychological wounding, this healing invocation may help.
You have plenty of time to work with these energies: this Chiron-Pluto sextile started heating up in the spring of 2010, and will recur through early 2017. The current sextile in the series came into orb in January 2012, and stays energized through mid-June of 2014.
Healing and transformation are significantly empowered by a Cradle aspect pattern that starts today. Peaking on 11/1 and ending on 11/6, it incorporates the Scorpionic Sun, Virgoan Mars, Piscean Chiron and Pluto. This aspect pattern also supports sexual healing, new or reinvigorated forms of service, and the empowerment of research and investigation.
Learning and communication around these themes receive support as retrograde Mercury joins the Sun’s Scorpionic position in this Cradle. This forms a separate Mercury-Mars-Chiron-Pluto Cradle which starts on 10/29, also peaks on 11/1 and ends on 11/4.
Thinking can feel a bit more labored under the conjunction of Scorpionic Mercury and Saturn. But an extra measure of focus and discipline can help you perceive beyond the surface of things and delve deeply into the subjects that interest you.
The Mercury-Mars-Chiron-Pluto Cradle mentioned yesterday begins today, peaks on 11/1 and ends on 11/4.
There are many possible ways to interpret a Yod with Uranus at the tip, supported by the Scorpionic Sun and Virgoan Mars. The most straightforward way to think about this aspect pattern, which peaks on 11/1 and ends on 11/2, is to act promptly on your intuitive flashes.
For the best outcome, use your rationality not to question your divinely inspired instructions, but to craft their optimal execution. Rapid personal transformation and healing are also supported by this Yod, nicknamed the “Finger of God.”
Many of these themes may play out in the realm of committed romantic relationships. This is because Juno, goddess of hearth and home, joins this Yod to form a Double Yod Key aspect pattern (two interlinked Yods) today through 11/1.
Ready to add on one final layer? Retrograde Mercury forms a third Yod as it approaches and passes the Sun’s position in Scorpio. This Mercury-Mars-Uranus Yod starts on 10/31, also peaks on 11/1 and ends on 11/3. Mercury’s presence makes it even easier to receive intuitive flashes, since Uranus (divine mind) is the higher octave of Mercury (rational mind).
The Yod formed by Mars, Jupiter and Uranus, which started on 10/27, peaks today and ends on 11/1. As I noted in my 10/27 forecast, taking action on positive paradigm shifts in committed romantic partnerships could be inspired by this aspect pattern. (This Yod is also part of the Double Yod Key discussed in yesterday’s forecast.)
Mars Aspects Chiron, Pluto & Uranus
Mars has a field day on Halloween, opposing Chiron, trining Pluto and quincunxing Uranus! While there are many positive possibilities contained within these aspects, there is also significant potential for volatility. Under these high-intensity energies, there may be a higher than usual proportion of tricks to treats!
Especially because it’s Halloween, a time when behavior that shades toward the sinister is more tolerated, avoid situations where you can feel volatility or violence in the air. (Thankfully the Moon enters Libra, the sign of harmony, balance and equilibrium, this morning.)
On the upside, athletics, new beginnings, entrepreneurship, striving for a worthy cause and mutually enriching sexuality can be positively energized by these Mars aspects. With Mars in Virgo, service, health and your daily routine also receive plenty of support.
With the Scorpionic Sun square Juno, you may be able to see more deeply into any issues in your committed romantic partnership. But given today’s unstable energies, consider whether it might be better to discuss them some other time!
Finally, the Mercury-Mars-Uranus Yod discussed on 10/29 begins today, peaks on 11/1 and ends on 11/3.
Uranus-Pluto Square #4
The ongoing Uranus-Pluto square is the biggest Western astrology event of the decade. Its energy of revolutionary transformation will make the 2010s feel like the 60s Part 2 before they’re done.
The first of these momentous squares was in 2012, and today marks its fourth exact lineup. There will be a total of seven Uranus-Pluto squares thru 2015.
How can you make the best use of this epic aspect? In a nutshell, release everything that does not propel your transformation and evolution forward. Joyously embody the unique identity you came here to express, and follow your intuitive flashes.
Are you willing to become an intuitively guided instrument of divine service? To awaken into the inexpressible magnificence of the divine being that you really are? If so, the Uranus-Pluto square can bless you with an electrifying empowerment beyond your wildest imagination!
This square perfects with Uranus at 9°25′ Aries and Pluto at 9°25′ Capricorn. They transmit their energy of revolutionary transformation most powerfully to whatever lies between 7° and 12° in the cardinal signs of your natal chart.
The cardinal signs are Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. (Points between 7° and 12° in non-cardinal signs are also affected, but less intensely.) In your life, you’ll feel this potent energy hitting home in the areas represented by these natal points.
Sun and Mercury Aspects
This first day of November is memorable for another reason: the Sun and retrograde Mercury cross paths in Scorpio while aspecting the same three outer planets!
Two of these aspects shared by the Sun and Mercury – trines to Chiron and sextiles to Pluto – are part of the Cradle aspect patterns described on 10/28. Please read those interpretations to understand these aspects in their deeper context. Mercury also sextiles Mars today, yet another Cradle aspect.
Healing in relationships, fine-tuning creative projects and financial mentoring are all supported by Venus quintile Chiron.
Today’s Sun-Mars sextile is a general vitality booster. But its greater significance is that it’s part of the Sun-Mars-Chiron-Pluto Cradle aspect pattern that started on 10/28 and continues through 11/6.
A potent solar eclipse at 7:50 AM (11°15′ Scorpio) makes a fitting end to an eventful week! A solar eclipse is like a New Moon on steroids. Since this one is in Scorpio, new beginnings in transformation, occult practices, shared resources, sacred sexuality, research, investigation and committed romantic partnership are all supported.
This eclipse is abundantly aspected, especially by powerful slower planets. A sextile from Pluto reinforces all of this lunation’s Scorpionic themes, and also serves as a reminder to release whatever doesn’t support your forward movement. A quincunx from Uranus makes intuitive flashes more available, although carrying them out may require some course corrections.
A trine from Chiron can help you make a smooth connection to the healing and mentoring resources you need, while a sextile from Mars can help kick-start your New Moon initiatives.
A strong conjunction from Saturn may indicate obstacles in your path, but also shows that discipline, focus and persistence can get you past them. And a conjunction from Mercury shows that learning and communication should be a critical part of your strategy.
The Sabian Symbol for this eclipse is, “A brilliant assembly of dignitaries at an official embassy ball.” This image is a wonderful illustration of the Scorpionic theme of shared resources.
To me, this image suggests broadening your network of contacts for mutual support. How can partnering with people who have expertise in areas different from yours help you move your goals forward?
It’s best to avoid starting important new projects or making major purchases during void-of-course Moons. “Business as usual” is the optimal strategy. Void-of-course Moons occur when the Moon has made her last major Ptolemaic aspect, but has not yet moved into her next sign.
