Pluto Intensity: October 1-15 2019 Astrology Forecast

Pluto, Mister Power, Wealth and Shadow Work himself, is a major player in the first half of October. Not only does Pluto turn direct, he also trines Juno and forms the most important aspect in the Aries Full Moon. Also potent: a wild card Jupiter-Uranus sesquare and lots of aspect patterns!

10/1 (Tue)

Think about an important committed partnership in your life. Is it enjoying blissful flow or is it dissolving away? Either one could happen under a Neptune-Juno opposition (16°44′ Pisces-Virgo), in orb thru 10/24.

Watch what’s happening already to feel out the current state of the relationship. This energy also supports conscious soul merging with your partner, or a conscious dissolution of the relationship if that serves highest good.

Pluto Direct

Ready to call in wealth and power? It’s a great time to do it, since the ruler of these matters turns direct today.

Pluto turned retrograde on 4/24 at 23°9’ Capricorn. As he turns direct today at 20°38′ Capricorn, it’s time to start consciously manifesting his mighty themes!

Wealth and Power

Wealth could represent your bank account or 401K. But wealth can be anything that’s important to you. Even intangible things like time with your kids or a weekend camping trip could be among your most precious treasures. Define your wealth clearly so the universe can give it to you more easily!

Power comes in two basic flavors: over and with. “Power over” is old school patriarchy: manipulate, dominate and control. The people and things around you are pawns to be manipulated for selfish gain.

“With” is the sharing of power. Once you tap into your inner power, you make a wonderful discovery: it’s more than enough! You lose interest in the “power over” paradigm, and find that your greatest joy is in helping others unlock the divine juju within themselves.

Pluto also rules death and rebirth. As Pluto turns direct, release or transform what no longer serves you optimally.

Effects On Your Natal Chart

Planets are most powerful when they change directions. And none is more powerful than Pluto!

Pluto’s direct station will focus his transformational energy between 18° and 25° in the cardinal signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. If your natal chart has any sensitive points there, Pluto’s energy will strongly affect whatever they represent. Will you experience adjustment and release, or wealth and empowerment? That depends on whether your current life expression of that theme aligns with your highest good!

T-square Peaks: Ceres-Juno-Jupiter-Neptune

Committed partnership is in the spotlight, thanks to a T-square featuring Ceres, Juno, Jupiter and Neptune. This intense aspect pattern started on 9/9, peaks today (10/3) and ends on 10/24.

Juno, the asteroid goddess of committed partnership, is in Virgo. This invites you to examine the health of your enduring relationships, and analyze how they can be improved. (The 4-Part Nonviolent Communication Process could be a good start.) Both partners can also remember that one of the best ways to feel better yourself is … to help someone else! Optimally, such service is given joyfully, and serves the highest good of all.

If a committed partnership is harmonious, Neptune’s opposition to Juno will give the partners creative inspiration and blended bliss. If there’s challenge, Neptune could tempt one or both partners into substance abuse, escapism, apathy or a victim/perpetrator relationship.

Jupiter’s square to Juno will, first and foremost, amplify what’s already happening in your committed partnership. If there’s challenge, it’ll be intensified. But Jupiter will also take any opportunity to inundate you both with as much joy, euphoria and celebration as you can receive!

Ceres is conjunct Jupiter, and also squares Juno. Like Jupiter and Neptune, Ceres can play both sides of the street. If it would serve the highest good of either partner to heal some sorrow, Ceres will bring it up. As the grain goddess, Ceres can also bless your committed partnership with harvest and abundance.

In short, this T-square focuses a lot of energy into committed partnership through late October. It’s a great time for the two of you to heal what needs healing … and celebrate what’s wonderful!

10/7 (Mon)

Grand Trine Begins: Mercury-Neptune-North Node

We had four Jupiter-Neptune T-squares in September . They had the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars holding down the same corner of the T-square, one after the other.

In October, these four personal planets will once again start taking turns in the same corner of an aspect pattern. But this time they’re farther apart, so the process will take longer. And the aspect pattern is soft instead of hard: a Grand Trine featuring Neptune and the North Node. Another important difference is that the personal planets will be in Scorpio instead of Virgo.

Let’s start by interpreting the trine between Neptune and the North Node. This could represent following your intuition so that you can easily stay aligned with your soul purpose. With the North Node in Cancer, this harmonious aspect could also smooth the way for unconditional love and compassion. And here’s a third possibility: inspired creativity that warms people’s hearts.

Now let’s add Mercury. Its Mercury-Neptune-North Node Grand Trine starts today (10/7), peaks on 10/14 and ends on 10/20.

Mercury represents human mind, as well as learning and communication. So this Grand Trine can make your mind more receptive to your intuition … which always does its best to align you with your life purpose! This aspect pattern makes it easier to focus your thoughts on unconditional love and compassion. And inspired creativity that warms people’s hearts could express through your words or writing.

With Mercury in Scorpio, all of this can be experienced with great intensity, passion and depth. Spirit-to-spirit connection with others is easier. And if you’re so called, your inspired creativity can be raw, uncensored and transformative.

T-square Peaks: Sun-Saturn-Lunar Nodes

The Sun-Saturn-Lunar Nodes T-square that started on 9/27 peaks today (10/7) and ends on 10/15. (Pluto joins in 10/3 thru 10/15.) If my 9/16 forecast on the overall meaning of these T-squares isn’t fresh in your mind, please read that before continuing.

Because the Sun’s in Libra, this T-square has a strong focus on relationships and creativity. Because it’s the Sun, this aspect pattern enhances your ability to shine out to the world, while harmoniously embodying the energies of this T-square’s other planets and points.

Embody the lunar nodes by acting in alignment with your life purpose. Embody Saturn by being mature, organized and productive. Embody Pluto by standing in your divine power, and encouraging others to stand in theirs.

10/8 (Tue)

You can use the Law of Attraction to call in more abundance as Neptune squares Ceres (16°33′ Pisces-Sagittarius). This aspect also makes it easier to invoke divine help to dissolve challenging emotions.

10/9 (Wed)

T-square Begins: Mars-Saturn-Lunar Nodes

The fourth and final T-square featuring Saturn, the lunar nodes, and a personal planet begins today (10/9). The previous three started in September, and had the Sun, Mercury and Venus holding down the personal planet corner. If the broader meaning of these T squares isn’t fresh in your mind, please read about it now in my 9/16 forecast.

Whether delivering challenge or opportunity, these T-squares have been intense. But we now have the most powerful of them all as Mars comes into the focal position.

“Just do it!” could be a Mars slogan. Do you have some structures that need to be revised or released? Some healing work ripe for processing? Mars can kick it off. Is it time to launch into some focused activity that aligns with your life purpose? Mars can initiate that too.

You could also experience similar extremes in the areas of athletics, sexuality, or fighting for a worthy cause. And because Mars is in Libra, the persistent themes of these T-squares — relationship and creativity — can be potently energized.

That’s a lot of possibilities! But as always with astrology, energy follows attention. If you want these planets to be your helpful partners, make a definitive choice about how you want this T-square to manifest. It peaks on 10/24 and ends on 11/4, with Pluto joining the party from 10/20 until it ends.

10/10 (Thu)

How do the themes of wealth and power play out in your committed partnerships? Whether a relationship is romantic or platonic, you can have a smooth, harmonious experience of these themes as Pluto trines Juno (20°38′ Capricorn-Virgo). This aspect’s influence perseveres thru 11/6.

More enjoyable possibilities include increased prosperity and a more efficient work flow. If highest good is served by some kind of release or adjustment, that can happen with surprising ease … if you let it!

10/11 (Fri)

Thor’s Hammer Peaks

A Thor’s Hammer featuring Juno, Jupiter and Uranus that started on 9/28 peaks today (10/11) and ends on 10/21. Here are three ways this dynamic aspect pattern could show up for you:

• Adventuring with a committed partner into uncharted territory
• Increased triggering, chaos or instability in a committed partnership, highlighting a need for the relationship to heal or end
• You and your committed partner interfacing more dynamically with a like-minded group or “tribe”

10/13 (Sun)

Aries Full Moon

October’s Full Moon lines up at 5:08 pm EDT (20°13′ Aries). Any Aries Full Moon is great for release or adjustment in leadership, entrepreneurship, and sexuality. Ditto for athletics and fighting for a worthy cause.

Are your relationships equitable, or do you need to modify the balance between self and other? Any issues with anger or impulsiveness? This is a great time to work on them.

Aspects

A very tight Pluto square, augmented by another square from Saturn, powerfully enhance opportunities for positive transformation and release of what doesn’t serve you. Enhanced wealth, power and structure are available for whatever aligns with soul purpose.

Trines from Jupiter and Ceres bring harmonious luck and expansion to those things that are soul-purpose aligned.

Sabian Symbol

This Full Moon’s Sabian Symbol is, “A boxer is entering the ring.” This certainly fits the martial character of Aries! The fact that this is a Full Moon suggests that you reconsider how you typically handle conflict.

Boxing matches are pre-arranged, so think about those situations in your life where it’s likely that conflict or competition will arise. Do your current patterns of aggression or assertiveness give you the results you want? At what cost?

Is there a more cooperative approach that could fulfill all your needs, as well as the needs of the others in “the ring”? If you can’t conceive anything but a winner-takes-all outcome, explore the win-win outcomes of the 4-Part Nonviolent Communication Process.

10/14 (Mon)

Grand Trine Begins: Venus-Neptune-North Node

This is the second of four Grand Trines featuring Neptune and the North Node. Rather than linking you back to my 10/7 forecast, I’ll repeat its paragraph that interprets this aspect pattern’s foundational aspect:

Let’s start by interpreting the trine between Neptune and the North Node. This could represent following your intuition so that you can easily stay aligned with your soul purpose. With the North Node in Cancer, this harmonious aspect could also smooth the way for unconditional love and compassion. And here’s a third possibility: inspired creativity that warms people’s hearts.

So what happens when we add Venus? Relationship comes front and center. This includes all the important ones: lover, spouse, friend, family, business associate … even open enemy.

Does a relationship align with your soul purpose? You’ll experience more harmonious interactions, and possibly a deeper soul connection. If not, you may find the connection between you dissolving.

Venus represents human creativity, while Neptune flows in divinely inspired creativity. With their trine connecting them easily and harmoniously, you may have more creative inspiration than you know what to do with! Create what you can, and capture the rest of the ideas for later development.

Venus is in Scorpio. For relationships, this supports a passionate or transformative connection, and soul-blended sex when appropriate. For creativity, it encourages you to throw off your inhibitions! Express what your Muse gives you, exactly as it shows up. You can keep this initial explosion of expression private if you wish.

This Venus-Neptune-North Node Grand Trine starts today (10/14), peaks on 10/19 and ends on 10/25.

Jupiter-Uranus Sesquare

Yes, this is a minor aspect. And yes, even so, these two planets can shake the energetic landscape!

This Jupiter-Uranus sesquare (20°10’Sagittarius-5°10′ Taurus) can catalyze dramatic breakthroughs and quantum leaps, as well as sudden, unexpected openings and awakenings. There’s also the potential for exciting new levels of freedom and profound cosmic ecstasy.

Be careful not to get snared in the lower expressions of this semi-hard aspect. They include manic, impulsive excess, as well as hubris and excessive pride. Watch out for shady get-rich-quick schemes, as well as new age ideals that promise liberation without facing your shadow side.
