A spiritually resplendent Pisces Full Moon and the end of Mercury retrograde highlight the first half of September. We also have eight aspect patterns starting and/or peaking – seven of which are challenging – and much more!

9/1 (Fri)
A Mars-Chiron quincunx is part of a Mercury-Mars-Jupiter-Chiron Yod that runs September 2-8. Please see that interpretation to understand this aspect in its larger context.
9/2 (Sat)
Yod Begins: Mercury-Mars-Jupiter-Chiron
Old psychological wounds could be stimulated by a Mercury-Mars-Jupiter-Chiron Yod. By making the appropriate adjustments and using an effective healing technique, you can use such unpleasant stimuli to clear some old heavy energies once and for all. This “Finger of God” can also inspire adjustments that can increase your effectiveness as a healer or mentor.
This Mercury-Mars-Jupiter-Chiron Yod starts today (9/2), peaks on 9/6 and ends on 9/8. It continues with the same basic meaning, but reduced intensity, as a Mercury-Jupiter-Chiron Yod through 9/12.
Taking immediate action on your intuitive flashes is much easier with Mars trine Uranus (20°9′ Leo-Aries). This aspect can also help you radiate electricity and originality in your performances and leadership.
9/3 (Sun)
T-square Begins: Sun-Saturn-Neptune
A Sun-Saturn-Neptune T-square offers three distinct uses as it begins today (9/3), peaks on 9/9 and ends on 9/15:
- Embodied awakening: Neptune represents divine union, while Saturn embodies it into physical form.
- Law of Attraction: Neptune represents visualization and imagination, with Saturn crystallizing it into 3D reality.
- Conscious dissolution: Neptune (dissolution) dissolves the structures (Saturn) that no longer serve you.
The Sun acts mainly to reconnect the waning Saturn-Neptune square. However, with the Sun in Virgo, this T-square could help you create a framework (Saturn) for compassionate (Neptune) service (Virgo).
Unto itself, a Mercury-Mars conjunction (28°43′ Leo) can bring new energy to your thinking, communication, leadership and showmanship. Using it in this way decreases the chance of verbal attack or self-centered grandstanding.
This aspect is part of the Mercury-Mars-Jupiter-Chiron Yod that started on 9/2.
Creative inspiration and performance is magically stimulated by a Venus-Jupiter quintile (10°33′ Leo-22°33′ Libra). This fairy dust aspect also supports good luck.
9/4 (Mon)
Today’s Jupiter-Ceres square (22°36′ Libra-Cancer) is part of a Ceres-Jupiter-Uranus T-square running through 10/14. Please see my T-square interpretation to understand this square in its larger context.
9/5 (Tue)
Mercury Direct
Mercury, which turned retrograde on 8/12 (11°38′ Virgo), turns direct today (9/5) at 7:30 AM EDT (28°25′ Leo). This is a great time to begin taking action on your reflections while Mercury was retrograde.
I recommended specific areas of mental focus in my 8/12 forecast. While Mercury was backpedaling in Virgo, I suggested contemplating how you’re serving others, your health, and how you might take your organizational systems and procedures to the next level.
As Mercury reversed into Leo, the emphasis changed to how you’re leading or strutting your stuff. What changes would make your life more wonderful in these areas? How about in terms of children, your inner child, appropriate risk-taking or chill-out time?
If you postponed making major purchases or signing critical contracts during Mercury retrograde, that window of opportunity has reopened.

Thor’s Hammer Begins: Ceres-Jupiter-Neptune
You have the rest of September to exploit a Ceres-Jupiter-Neptune Thor’s Hammer. It starts today (9/5), peaks on 9/21 and ends on 9/30. Life-affirming possibilities include:
- Use the Law of Attraction or prayer to manifest additional abundance
- Enjoy easier access to divine states of consciousness
- Use spiritually based techniques such as my free Healing Invocation to heal old psychological wounds
- Unleash an outpouring of creative inspiration!
Unto itself, a Sun-Neptune opposition (12°51′ Virgo-Pisces) is great for spiritual awakening, creative inspiration and dream work. But be careful not to get caught in Neptune’s lower expressions. These include excessive substance abuse or escapism, aimless drifting, and playing the victim in a relationship.
With the Sun in Virgo, let your acts of service be guided by your inner wisdom. This Sun-Neptune opposition is part of a Sun-Saturn-Neptune T-square that runs through 9/15.
Mars transits Virgo today (9/5) through 10/22. This can fire up your energy and excitement for serving others, focusing on health and healing, and doing detail-oriented work.
You can enjoy an abundant flow of creative inspiration – if you make the proper adjustment – thanks to a Venus-Neptune quincunx (12°49′ Leo-Pisces). Fortunately, this adjustment can be as simple as making time for your creativity.
This aspect can also help you deepen your relationship with your higher self and give awesome performances!
9/6 (Wed)
Pisces Full Moon
A Full Moon illuminates the sky at 3:03 am EDT (13°53′ Pisces). Any Pisces Full Moon is great for taking stock of how you’re doing in the areas of direct spiritual experience and expressing your inspired creativity. Make appropriate adjustments or releases.
Aspects
Kite
All but one of the planets aspecting the Full Moon create a Kite. The members of this harmonious aspect pattern include the Moon, Sun, Neptune, Pluto and Pallas Athena.
The strongest influence is a tight Moon-Neptune conjunction. Since Neptune has the same meaning as Pisces, the themes of spiritual awakening and inspired creativity are strongly reinforced.
A Pluto-Moon sextile adds flowing power to this lunation, and makes it easier to undergo whatever transformations or releases serve your highest good. Pluto also makes wealth and power more easily available. A Moon-Pallas Athena sextile can help you more confidently embody feminine assertiveness, and use a strategic approach where appropriate.
Quincunx
The one aspect that’s not part of the Kite is a tight Moon-Venus quincunx. This supports whatever adjustments can help make your relationships more wonderful, or support your creative expression.
Sabian Symbol
This Full Moon’s Sabian Symbol is, “A woman wrapped in fox fur.” This taps into a Pisces meaning I don’t normally emphasize: fashion. There are far less expensive ways to stay warm than wearing a fox fur. So unless she’s actually roughing it in the wilderness, a woman wearing one is probably signaling her wealth and glamour.
There’s nothing inherently wrong with this. But to what degree are you supporting your self-esteem and gaining social significance through the external trappings of wealth and affluence? Have you done enough inner work that you can always feel good about yourself, no matter what you’re wearing or how much stuff you own?
From a shamanic perspective, the fox is cunning, clever, and sometimes a trickster. In this context the woman could be amplifying these qualities in herself. Would it serve you to cultivate any of these attributes more deeply? Is there someone in your life with these foxy qualities, where caution might be advised?
Yod Peaks: Mercury-Mars-Jupiter-Chiron
The Mercury-Mars-Jupiter-Chiron Yod that started on 9/2 peaks today (9/6) and ends on 9/8. A weaker version without Mars continues through 9/12.
9/7 (Thu)
T-square Peaks: Vesta-Saturn-Chiron
The Vesta-Saturn-Chiron T-square that started on 8/24 peaks today (9/7) and ends on 9/21. Saturn and Chiron are square all year, so we’ll focus on Vesta for our primary themes.
As I wrote on 8/24, Vesta represents honing yourself into a finely tuned instrument of service, then using those abilities in service to a greater good. This higher cause doesn’t benefit you directly, except for the satisfaction of helping to make the world a better place. Vesta’s placement in Virgo doubles down on the service theme.
Saturn and Chiron’s hard aspects to Vesta may stir up any old wounds or limitations that stand in the way of this higher service. Effective shadow work tools such as my free Healing Invocation can help you clear or transmute any calcified energies that stand in your way. These two planets also invite you to assume the role of the wise elder (Saturn), and the healer, mentor, shaman or awakener (Chiron).
Vesta can also represent sex magic. This straightforward practice simply involves holding the image of what you want to manifest as you move through arousal and orgasm. Your desired outcome need not have anything to do with sex, and it can benefit you and/or others.
Kite Peaks: Sun-Pallas-Neptune-Pluto
Strategic, intuitively guided service is smoothly supported by a Kite featuring the Sun, Pallas, Neptune and Pluto. As I wrote on 8/30, divine energy and information flows from Piscean Neptune to the opposing Sun, which is optimized for service in Virgo. The Sun also receives trines from master planner Pallas Athena and empowerment specialist Pluto.
You can also give or receive healing, and get a lot of great organizing done, with the support of this Kite’s smooth, easy-flowing energy. This Kite began on 8/30, peaks today (9/7) and ends on 9/15.
9/8 (Fri)
Stay alert for trouble as Mars sesquares Pluto (1°57′ Virgo-16°57′ Capricorn). Mars and Pluto are always a volatile combination, even when connected by a minor hard aspect such as this. Outbursts of anger and violence are more likely to erupt.
Put this aspect to better use by energizing appropriate assertiveness, exercise and leadership. With the two libido-boosting planets in aspect, sex and sacred sexuality are dynamically energized. With Mars in Virgo, this extra energy can be focused into service, health and detail work.
9/9 (Sat)
T-square peaks: Sun-Saturn-Neptune
The Sun-Saturn-Neptune T-Square that started on 9/3 peaks today (9/9) and ends on 9/15.
Pluto is part of two aspects today. The first is a Venus-Pluto quincunx (16°56′ Leo-Capricorn). This supports any adjustment that makes your important relationships more wonderful. With Venus in Leo, this aspect can also empower both private and public creative expression.
Today’s other Pluto aspect is a Sun-Pluto trine (16°56′ Virgo-Capricorn). This smoothly supports personal transformation, and can also amplify wealth and power. With the Sun in Virgo, this aspect can also juice up your service, health, and organizational systems.
The Sun-Pluto trine is part of the Sun-Pallas-Neptune-Pluto Kite that continues through 9/15.
Mercury transits Virgo today (9/9) through 9/29. This makes extra energy available for the Virgoan themes I’ve been repeating so relentlessly in this forecast: service, health and organizational systems.
9/10 (Sun)
No major astrology events.
9/11 (Mon)
Today’s Chiron-Vesta opposition (26°53′ Pisces-Virgo) is part of the Vesta-Saturn-Chiron T-square that continues through 9/21. Please see that interpretation to understand this opposition in its larger context.
9/12 (Tue)
T-square Peaks: Ceres-Jupiter-Uranus
Are you ready for a sudden turn in your financial fortunes? As I wrote on 8/24, that possibility is supported by a T-square featuring Ceres, Jupiter and Uranus. It started on 8/24, peaks today (9/12) and ends on 10/14.
Please note that I didn’t say whether this turn would be toward feast or famine. This T-square encompasses both possibilities, so I strongly recommend using an effective Law of Attraction system to call in the maximum abundance that serves your highest good. Since Uranus is the intuitive flash guy, pay close attention to your inner wisdom as you plan and implement your prosperity strategy.
Ceres, the grain goddess, can represent harvest and prosperity. Jupiter represents expansion and good luck. And Uranus can bring big change fast!
Psychologically, Ceres can also represent sorrow and loss. So this T-square can catalyze old emotional wounds for healing.

Working harmoniously with others is supported by a Venus-Saturn trine (21°27′ Leo-Sagittarius). With Venus in Leo, this harmonious aspect also supports creative productivity and exciting, well-structured performances.
9/13 (Wed)
Yod Begins: Venus-Jupiter-Chiron
Harmonious, empowered healing is one great way to use the Venus-Jupiter-Chiron Yod that starts today (9/13), peaks on 9/16 and ends on 9/21. Others include creative mentoring and relationship counseling.
Your service to a higher cause can take a quantum leap with Uranus quincunx Vesta (27°51′ Aries-Virgo).
Your service to others or health-related pursuits could hit a snag with the Virgo Sun square Saturn (21°29′ Virgo-Sagittarius). But this aspect can support you if you approach these activities with good discipline, maturity, planning and time management.
9/14 (Thu)
No major astrology events.
9/15 (Fri)
Let your inner artist out to play as Venus sextiles Jupiter (24°50′ Leo-Libra). This harmonious, energizing aspect between the two classic benefics also supports performance, leadership and overall good luck.
Void-of-Course Moons
It’s best to avoid starting important new projects or making major purchases during void-of-course Moons. “Business as usual” is the optimal strategy. Void-of-course Moons occur when the Moon has made her last major Ptolemaic aspect, but has not yet moved into her next sign.
