Would you like to cultivate a magical relationship with your partner? Then sow magical seeds of love into their heart!
Today I surprised my beloved Benjamin with an artfully arranged platter of homemade roasted red pepper hummus, brimming with colorful veggies and crunchy crackers. You would’ve thought I’d served him a platter of gold! The smile on his face was priceless.
I’d spoken one of his love languages.
The Five Love Languages
Several years ago, Gary Chapman wrote The Five Love Languages: The Secret to Love that Lasts. You might have been one of the millions who read this bestseller.
The five love languages are:
- Words of Affirmation
- Acts of Service
- Receiving Gifts
- Physical Touch
- Quality Time
These love languages are simple to weave into a relationship. Consistently using your partner’s love language sows seeds of love, which will blossom throughout your time together.
Full Circle
One of the ways Benjamin expresses his love for me is through Acts of Service. He loves serving! So when I serve him … magic happens!
When I gave Benjamin that hummus platter, he felt the love I’d poured into it. His face lit up like a kid on Christmas morning. Even his eyes smiled!
He returned my love with a tender embrace, sweet kiss, and warm words of appreciation. He was speaking two of my love languages: Physical Touch and Words of Affirmation. The gift of love came full circle.
Sowing the seeds of love through modalities like the five love languages keeps the heart fires burning. With just a little imagination, you too can cultivate a magical relationship with your beloved!
Bonus: Maeikisala’s Spring Meditation
Spring is here! Stand or sit outside in the morning sunshine. Thank Divine Mother for her gift of new life. It springs up all around us.
Take a deep breath. Ask Divine Mother to shower you with her unconditional love. Let it fill your heart, saturating each and every cell. Ask her how you can sow the seeds of love in fresh ways.
Feel gratitude, knowing your prayer has been heard. Leave space for an answer. Treasure the response in your heart … and act in love!
