Goddess-Blessed Aquarius Full Moon

A Full Moon blessed by most of the asteroid goddesses illuminates the sky at 2:32 pm EDT (9°15′ Aquarius). Any Aquarius Full Moon is a great time to make adjustments or releases in how fully you accept your uniqueness and express it to the world.

Aquarius rules intuitive hits. These come directly from your higher self, and are the most reliable guidance a human can get. How frequently are you receiving these? When you do, how often do you act on them?

Finally, the highest expression of Aquarius is to serve others using your special gifts and talents you most love to use. How are you doing with this?

Aspects

Jupiter T-Square

Jupiter is at right angles to the Sun and Moon, forming a T-Square. Jupiter is a natural magnifier, so this amplifies the Aquarian opportunities already described.

This also offers up Jupiter’s smorgasbord of meanings for release or adjustment. How’s your adventurousness? What higher learning are you pursuing? What wisdom are you sharing with others?

Are you opening yourself to the insights of other cultures? Are you seeking a deeper understanding of the meaning of life? And are you making time for celebration?

On Jupiter’s darker side, are you arrogantly proclaiming your beliefs as the “one true way”? Or are you overextending yourself by taking on more than you can manage?

Asteroid Goddesses

This Full Moon’s remaining aspects are blessed by the three asteroid goddesses.

The Moon forms a loose Grand Trine with two of them. This harmonious aspect pattern can make it easier to enjoy the harvest and abundance offered by the grain goddess Ceres. Ceres also rules shadow work, so this smooth connection can also make psychological healing easier. (You may find my free Healing Invocation helpful for this.)

The Moon’s trine with Vesta is wide. But it still gives a good opportunity to reflect on how your selfless service to a higher cause is going.

Finally, the Moon makes a tight quincunx with the warrior goddess Pallas Athena. What adjustments should you make in your feminine assertiveness? And how are your skills in the areas of negotiation, strategy, and mediation?

Sabian Symbol

The Sabian Symbol for this Full Moon is, “A man who had for a time become the embodiment of an ideal is made to realize that as a person he is not this ideal.”

Updated for our times, I would modify this symbol to read, “A person who had for a time become the embodiment of an ideal is made to realize that as a person they are not this ideal.”

This symbol can be simultaneously disillusioning and encouraging. First, how can an inherently fallible human fully embody an ideal? We can strive toward perfection, but can never achieve it in the physical realm. Even if others proclaim you as “the embodiment of an ideal,” don’t believe them!

Why not? Because the biggest room in the world is room for improvement. However magnificent your accomplishment, there’s always a higher level that could be achieved.

Life is all journey and no destination. You’ll be much happier if you delight in the endless process of self-improvement.

Mars Aspects Jupiter and Pluto

Mars is energized by aspects to two slower planets today: a Mars-Jupiter trine (13°46′ Virgo-Taurus) and a Mars-Pluto sesquare (13°52′ Virgo-28°52′ Capricorn).

Mars is the “just do it” planet. With his power amplified by Jupiter and empowered by Pluto, this is a great time to get things done! These aspects also juice up the natural expressions of Mars: warrior, pioneer, entrepreneur, and sexual being.

Mars is in Virgo, so these aspects also energize the meanings of the sixth sign. These include service to others, health improvement, and attention to detail.

Peaking “Double Thor’s Hammer” Energizes Action Benefiting Others

A rare Double Thor’s Hammer that started on 7/25 peaks today (8/1) and ends on 8/8. It includes Mars, Vesta, Pluto, and the North Node. Its major theme is support for taking action that benefits others – as long as doing so aligns with your soul purpose.

Mars, the planet of action, is in Virgo, the sign of service to others. Vesta represents selfless service to a higher cause.

The North Node wants you to act in alignment with your soul purpose. (It just moved into Aries, which shares Mars’ “action” theme.) Finally, Pluto adds massive power to all this, and opens the door to an abundant outcome!

There’s also room for appropriate self-interest.

What if we narrow our focus to the standalone Thor’s Hammer with Mars, Pluto, and the North Node? We still have tremendously empowered action that fits in with your life purpose. But we could reinterpret Virgo as refinement and fine-tuning, or as improvement to your personal health. Is there any reason you couldn’t find time to meet your personal needs while also serving a higher cause?

New T-Square Energizes Compassionate Service to a Worthy Cause

A T-Square starts today with Mars, Vesta and Neptune. It peaks on 8/19 and ends on 9/6.

Vesta represents selfless service to a higher cause. Neptune (and Pisces, the sign it’s in) facilitate compassion and identification with others. Mars boosts energy and initiation. And Mars is in Virgo, the sign of service to others.

That’s why this T-Square energizes compassionate service to a worthy cause. If you already have one, consider giving it more time, energy, or support. If you don’t, is there a noble cause you’d feel good about selflessly supporting?

If you’re not sure about any of this, Neptune offers the flow of intuitive wisdom. This makes it easier to check in with your inner guidance!

Committed Partnership Highlighted as Juno-Outer Planets Cradle Peaks

All your committed partnerships are spotlighted by a Cradle aspect pattern that started on 7/26, peaks today (8/8), and ends on 8/17. It features Juno and the three outer planets: Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

The committed partnerships represented by Juno can extend beyond romantic or life partner connections. A committed partnership is any important ongoing relationship. This could include family, business, platonic, or adversarial relationships.

A Cradle is a fundamentally harmonious aspect pattern. Five of it six aspects are soft. So, its most obvious effect is to positively empower your committed partnerships. Good energy can be amplified!

Each planet also contributes its unique gifts to your committed partnerships.

Pluto can add wealth (anything of value) and empowerment. Neptune can add divine consciousness, intuitive knowing, and ease of energetic blending. Finally, Uranus can help you truly be yourself with that person, pop down intuitive hits, and help a committed partnership make a quantum leap to the next level.

What if a committed partnership is toxic or has serious challenges? If it’s best to walk away, the transpersonal wisdom of the outer planets can help you see that. Enjoy Inspired, Energized Action: Mars-Outer Planet Kite

The three outer planets aren’t just cradling Juno. They’re also boosting Mars, thanks to a Mars-Uranus-Neptune-Pluto Kite that starts today (8/9), peaks on 8/21, and ends on 9/1.

As I noted earlier, Mars supports your actions as a leader, warrior, pioneer, and sexual being. His placement in Virgo can energize anything you do relating to health, service to others, and detail work.

The outer planets offer the same kinds of support I described in my Cradle interpretation.

Pluto empowers your actions, and can shower you with wealth. This could be money, as well as anything of value – tangible or intangible. The divine intelligence of Neptune can inspire your actions and help you do them in flow state. And Uranus can send intuitive hits to guide you, help you act in alignment with your unique human nature, and serve others with your special gifts and talents you most love to use!

Committed Partnership Grand Cross Peaks

Juno just can’t stay out of the spotlight! Not only does she headline a Cradle aspect pattern with the outer planets, she’s also part of a Grand Cross with Pluto and the Lunar Nodes that peaks today and ends on 8/27.

As I discussed in my Cradle interpretation, Juno represents all kinds of committed partnership. Pluto adds wealth and power to the harmonious ones, and can bring up challenge in committed partnerships that should be healed or released.

Finally, the Lunar Nodes encourage you to focus on those committed partnerships that align with your life purpose. Keep opportunity cost in mind. Wasting time with a non-aligned person prevents you from making better use of that time with someone who can help you move forward!

8/13 (Sun)

Today’s Pluto-Juno opposition (28°37′ Capricorn-Cancer) is part of the Juno-Uranus-Neptune-Pluto Cradle that peaked on 8/8. Click the link for its interpretation.

Today’s Sun-Venus conjunction (20°28′ Leo) amplifies opportunities in the areas of relationship, creativity, and finance. Since these planets conjoin in Leo, this aspect also supports leadership, performance, and playfulness!

8/15 (Tue)

Saturn Semi-Square Chiron

Don’t be surprised if old traumas get triggered as Saturn semi-squares Chiron (4°44′ Pisces-19°44′ Aries). A semi-square is only a minor hard aspect, but it packs a punch when it connects such potent planets!

This aspect also has plenty of staying power. It came into orb (close enough to energetically connect) on 1/6. It was first exact on 2/23, is exact again today (8/15), and will line up once more on 11/25. And it will stay in orb through 1/14/24!
