Feminine power can flow easily and smoothly under an asteroid goddess Grand Trine, one of our “skylights” for the second half of June. Other notable events include a Gemini New Moon and the Summer Solstice. A Saturn-Pluto semisquare challenges existing structures, while a Jupiter-Uranus trine might bring unexpected luck!

A Venus-Neptune quincunx (9°48′ Leo-Pisces) opens the door for inspired creativity and easier connection with the divine essence in yourself and other beings. But some adjustment may be required – such as focusing your attention on these matters in the first place!
Gemini New Moon
There’s a New Moon at 10:06 AM US Eastern time (25°7′ Gemini). New beginnings in learning, communication, variety and playfulness are supported.
Aspects
This New Moon’s strongest aspect is a very tight conjunction to Mars. This amplifies the New Moon’s inherent initiatory energy, and also puts the energies of the warrior, pioneer, sexual being and leader on offer.
With Chiron square the luminaries, an experience of wounding is possible on some level. The square can also support you in stepping more fully into your power as a healer or mentor.
Two very different asteroid goddesses also aspect this New Moon: Pallas Athena opposes the luminaries, while Juno sextiles them. Pallas is assertive and does as she will, while Juno’s first impulse can be to stand by her partner. Whether you’re male or female, the energy of this New Moon can help you examine where you stand on this spectrum. Would any adjustments in your behavior be appropriate?
Sabian Symbol
This New Moon’s Sabian Symbol is, “Winter frost in the woods.” At first blush, this symbol seems completely inappropriate as we transition from spring into summer. But it’s a good reminder that you can experience different cycles of change at the same time.
Nature is largely dormant during the winter, holding its energy in reserve so that it can burst forth with new growth the following spring. Even now, during the last week of spring, is a part of you in its dormant phase? Is there a part of your life where the best strategy is to wait, biding your time until the optimal moment for action arrives?

Grand Trine: Pallas Athena-Jupiter-Uranus
An easy expansion of feminine assertiveness is indicated by a Pallas Athena-Jupiter-Uranus Grand Trine. The presence of Uranus asks you to embody your authentic, one-of-a-kind human identity as you step into your feminine power. This Grand Trine began on 5/30, peaks today and ends on 7/5.

Saturn-Pluto Semisquare
It may only be a minor hard aspect, but a semisquare between Saturn and Pluto (29°39′ Scorpio-14°39′ Capricorn) is a force to be reckoned with. This is especially true with these two planets once again in mutual reception (in each other’s signs), which significantly boosts the power of their connection. (Saturn recently retrograded back into Scorpio.)
The basic effect of this aspect is to encourage adjustments to strengthen the structures that serve your soul purpose, and to clear away the ones that don’t. The structures that aren’t serving you, at least in their current form, aren’t hard to find: they’re the ones that consistently trigger suffering!
You might need to release possessions, relationships, ways of thinking or ways of being. But be discerning. Sometimes suffering arises to show you that there’s some heavy energy that needs to be cleared from yourself. This is especially likely if the same flavor of suffering arises in different situations. If this is the situation, expect the universe to keep sending you similar catalysts in different guises to give you the ongoing opportunity to release this dense energy.
Many people have found my healing invocation helpful in this sort of situation. I also recommend other experiential modalities such as breathwork and shamanic ceremony. Mental inquiry and understanding is all fine and good, but what I’ve observed is that you have to feel it to heal it!
You have about four months to work with this energy, since the semisquare lasts through the end of September.
6/21 (Sun)
Mental ingenuity and divine inspiration are magically energized by a Mercury-Jupiter quintile (7°48′ Gemini-19°48′ Leo).
You might encounter obstacles or slowdowns with the Sun quincunx Saturn (29°36′ Gemini-Scorpio). But with the Sun in Gemini, this aspect can also add some much- needed focus and discipline. These can help you bring insights from today’s Mercury-Jupiter quintile into tangible form!
The Summer Solstice arrives as the Sun enters Cancer on 6/21 at 12:38 PM US Eastern time. The longest day of the year (in the northern hemisphere) ushers in the energies of family, nurturing, security and home.
Adjustment and transformation are routine experiences for those who are consciously working on themselves. That’s why you should welcome today’s Venus-Pluto quincunx (14°37′ Leo-Capricorn). It can help you take your relationships, creativity and finances to the next level. And with artistic Venus in Leo, it can also help you step more powerfully into the spotlight as a leader or performer!
6/22 (Mon)
A Jupiter-Uranus trine (20°2′ Leo-Aries) is great for taking unconventional approaches to philosophy and religion, or for taking the road less traveled when visiting foreign countries. Intuitive flashes can pop in more frequently, and the desire to act in the world as your authentic self can be strongly amplified. This aspect can even bring unexpected luck!
This trine is exact today, but is in effect for nearly seven months! It started on 1/12, peaks today and ends on 8/4.
6/23 (Tue)
The potentially brain-fogging effects of a Mercury-Neptune square (9°46′ Gemini-Pisces) can make it harder to think in a straight line. But it’s also a great opportunity to give cogitation a rest and call in guidance from your inner wisdom. This aspect can also inspire creative writing and original thinking.
If not managed well, a Mars-Saturn quincunx (29°28′ Gemini-Scorpio) can result in false starts, start-stop progress and a general sense of “driving with the parking brake on.” But if you make appropriate adjustments, this aspect can provide Energizer Bunny productivity and energized, disciplined thinking.
Inspiration and intuitive flashes come easier under a Sun-Uranus quintile (2°4′ Cancer-20°4′ Aries). With the Sun in Cancer, these insights may relate to family, security or nurturing.
6/24 (Wed)
Chiron is retrograde today thru 11/28. He backpedals about 5° within Pisces, from 21°33′ to 16°56′. Take some time during this five-month period to reflect on wounds, healing and mentoring.
These three themes will be most accentuated now in your sensitive natal points between 18° and 25° in the mutable signs: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces. This is because transiting planets are at their most powerful when stationing (changing directions).
Mars transits Cancer today through 8/8. Highlighted themes include assertive nurturing, heart-centered sexuality, and acting as a pioneer within your family structure.

You can be more inspired than ever to act on your intuitive flashes with Mars quintile Uranus (2°10′ Cancer-20°10′ Aries). This aspect can also help you gain new vision as a leader and spice up your sex life!
6/28 (Sun)
The appropriate adjustment can help you free your mind with Mercury quincunx Pluto (14°28′ Gemini-Capricorn). This aspect can also help you brainstorm deeply and boldly contemplate taboo subjects.
Challenges in committed partnerships can arise with Saturn square Juno (29°11′ Scorpio-Leo). Consider Saturn as an “adversarial ally.” He has come to show you the structural adjustments that will help your partnership stand on more solid ground. (Assuming, of course, that it serves the highest good of all for your connection to continue.)
6/29 (Mon)
Fresh bolts of inspiration can smoothly guide your relationships, creativity and finances to the next level with Venus trine Uranus (20°12′ Leo-Aries). With Venus in Leo, your leadership and performances can also be graced with genius.
6/30 (Tue)
There could be an increase in wounding events with Jupiter quincunx Chiron (21°32′ Leo-Pisces). If so, be proactive in using appropriate healing modalities. With focus, this quincunx can also help amplify your skills as a mentor and healer.
Void-of-Course Moons
It’s best to avoid starting important new projects or making major purchases during void-of-course Moons. “Business as usual” is the optimal strategy. Void-of-course Moons occur when the Moon has made her last major Ptolemaic aspect, but has not yet moved into her next sign.
