The Lunar Nodes Change Signs
The North Node of the Moon shifts from Scorpio to Libra today (using Mean Nodes), where this virtual point will maintain its eternal retrograde through 10/9/2015. This places a long-term emphasis on relationships, creativity, diplomacy, harmony and balance.
The Moon has two nodes — North and South — which are always 180° apart. So the South Node is also shifting signs today, from Taurus to Aries. To oversimplify matters, the North Node represents what you should be moving toward, and the South Node what you should be leaving behind. (It isn’t really that simple, but that’s the basic idea.)
So as the South Node transits Aries, what less desirable qualities of the zodiac’s first sign would it serve you to release? Anger? Impulsiveness? Inappropriate sexuality? Excessive dominance?
If you’re not sure, ask those who spend a lot of time with you for their honest opinion. If concensus emerges, you’ve found something to work on. And what great timing, when the Sun is just two days into Aries!
Ceres’ entry into Libra and conjunction to the North Node both occur less than an hour after the North Node shifts signs! This is a powerful indicator to watch for the themes of protection, separation, fertility, harvest (abundance) and mother/daughter issues while the North node transits Libra.
It’s always handy when I can use the exact same interpretation twice in the same forecast!
