The cosmos invites you to dive into the mysterious under a Scorpio New Moon. Other highlights for the second half of November include the Sun entering Sagittarius, Neptune turning direct, and Venus aspecting all four outer planets. There can also be intense challenge – and opportunity – as Mars forms two T-squares with outer planets!

T-square Begins: Mars-Uranus-Pluto
Intensity. Volatility. Unpredictability. A Mars-Uranus-Pluto T-square radiates all this and more! This aspect patterns starts today (11/16), peaks on 11/24 and ends on 12/5.
Accidents are more common under this energy, so stay mindful of your surroundings and what you’re doing. The desire for sex or conflict can surge up suddenly and powerfully, so think twice before you do something you’ll regret later.
Every astrological situation has a higher expression. This T-square can energize you to step up as a leader for positive change. You can enjoy enhanced athletic performance. In your sexuality, you can receive new inspiration for variety and soul-blending. And your intuitive flashes, the most reliable guidance available, might be popping in faster than usual.
This isn’t the strongest Mars-Uranus-Pluto T-square we’ve seen in recent years … the square between Uranus and Pluto has an orb of almost eight degrees. Still, this is an aspect pattern to be respected. You’d be wise to consciously use it on the high side!
T-square Begins: Mars-Juno-Pallas-Uranus
Who’s the boss in your important relationships? Issues of assertiveness and appropriate power-sharing can be stimulated by a Mars-Juno-Pallas-Uranus T-square. It starts today (11/16), peaks on 11/30 and ends on 12/16. Challenging expressions of this aspect pattern can be outbursts of anger, erratic behavior or sexual acting out.
Don’t devolve into destructively impulsive behavior or fear-based power trips. If a relationship is founded on equality, explore your relating patterns to see if one of you is defaulting into an inappropriately dominant or submissive role. If it’s agreed that one of you is the alpha, such as in a work relationship, make sure you’re both comfortable in your designated roles.
If challenge arises, Mars’ placement in Libra can support harmonious discussion and an equitable outcome. Uranus can pop in intuitive hits to inspire you with outside-the-box solutions. And Pallas, queen of strategy, can help you craft a win-win outcome. A field-tested approach for healing relationship conflict is Marshall Rosenberg’s amazing book Nonviolent Communication, 3rd Edition
Artists rejoice! Easy-flowing inspiration is available as Venus trines Neptune (11°28′ Scorpio-Pisces). This harmonious aspect can also help harmonize relationships … especially if the couple is willing to explore the issues underlying their challenges.
Healing, mentoring and shadow work can flow smoothly as the Scorpio Sun trines Chiron (24°28′ Scorpio-Pisces).
11/17 (Fri)
If you’re feeling edgy, it could have something to do with a Sun-Uranus quincunx (25°24′ Scorpio-Aries). De-jangle this energy by making whatever adjustments are needed to follow your intuitive flashes. If challenging emotions come up, dissolve them with my free Healing Invocation.
Bright, optimistic thinking is supported by a sextile between Sagittarian Mercury and Mars (16°17′ Sagittarius-Libra). Your thoughts may naturally gravitate to matters such as religion, philosophy and the meaning of life. This aspect also supports public speaking and other means of broadcasting your message to the world.
11/18 (Sat)
Scorpio New Moon
A New Moon lines up at 6:42 am EST (26°19′ Scorpio). Any Scorpio New Moon can support new beginnings or renewed energy in any of these areas:
- any relationship involving shared resources
- sexual relationships
- sacred sex
- occult activities such as astrology, numerology, psychic perception and mediumship
- investments, insurance and inheritance
- death and rebirth on all levels: physical, emotional, psychological, mental and spiritual
- shadow work
Aspects
This New Moon’s strongest aspect is a strong trine from Chiron. This can help healing practices such as shamanic healing, holotropic breathwork and my free Healing Invocation … all of which can clear old emotional wounds more easily. It can also support your activities as a healer, mentor, shaman or awakener.
This lunation receives a quincunx from Uranus and a Saturn semi-sextile. These two can cooperate if you set your course based on Uranus’ intuitive flashes, then use Saturn’s expertise in organization and accomplishment to implement them. A quincunx from Pallas invites you to adjust your life to include more feminine assertiveness, strategic planning and practical creativity.
Sabian Symbol
This New Moon’s Sabian Symbol is, “A military band marches noisily on through the city streets.” This symbol speaks to me of the warlike spirit currently infecting our citizens. Powerful and influential leaders are infecting the populace with a spirit of divisiveness and conflict. An increasing number of people are choosing fear and defensiveness rather than love and inclusion.
Love or fear? If you choose to focus on fear or any negative emotion (unless you’re doing it constructively as part of a healing process), you feed the forces of darkness. Holding a space of unconditional love, as much as you’re able, feeds the forces of light.
As a shamanic healer, I frequently deal with negative entities and energies. More and more, I’m guided simply to merge with them. I saturate them with my consciousness. The light which I am, and which we all are, is immortal and can never be harmed. When I merge fully with a dark energy … or, to put it another way, when I love it … it almost always results in its removal, dissolution, or transmutation into love and light.
We’re so often taught to fight against what we don’t like. But what what you resist persists. I’ve found love to be a much more effective strategy. Here’s a simple, free technique that has helped thousands maintain embodied awakening … the state from which unconditional love naturally arises!
11/19 (Sun)
Today’s Mars-Pluto square (17°30′ Libra-Capricorn) is an intense and powerful aspect, and could be dangerous if not consciously managed. And it isn’t acting alone: it’s part of a Mars-Uranus-Pluto T-square that runs 11/16 through 12/5. Please see my T-square interpretation to understand this Mars-Pluto square in its larger context.
11/20 (Mon)
No major astrology events.
11/21 (Tue)
The Sun enters Sagittarius today (11/21) at 10:04 PM EST. For the next month, it will be easier to dive into any of the Archer’s archetypal expressions:
- religion
- philosophy
- the meaning of life
- foreign countries and cultures
- exploration
- celebration and euphoria!
Be careful to avoid Sagittarius’ more challenging expressions:
- excessive righteousness,
- forcing your beliefs on others, and
- putting too many irons in the fire.
Ecstatic sacred sex and positive relationship transformation are two upside potentials of a Venus-Pluto sextile (17°33′ Scorpio-Capricorn). This strong, flowing aspect can also energize uninhibited creativity … and help you cultivate a deeper, more satisfying connection in any type of relationship.
11/22 (Wed)
Neptune Direct
Neptune, which turned retrograde on 6/16 at 14°15′ Pisces, turns direct today (11/22) at 11°27′ Pisces. This is a good time to begin moving forward with archetypally resonant activities such as …
- expressing your inspired creativity,
- spiritual awakening practices, and
- operating in “the zone.”
Be careful not to overindulge in Neptune’s dark side:
- excessive use of drugs and alcohol,
- excessive escapism (TV, sex, food, internet, games, etc.),
- aimless drifting, or
- playing the victim in a relationship
Planets are most powerful when they station (change direction). Any sensitive point in your natal chart between 8° and 15° in a mutable sign (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces) will be strongly affected by Neptune’s direct station.
Jupiter Sesquare Chiron
Your shadow material can get stirred up as Jupiter makes a 135° sesquare to Chiron. (My free Healing Invocation can help you clear challenging emotions quickly and easily.) This aspect can also amplify your abilities as a healer or mentor … or, if you’re ready, a shaman or awakener! This aspect can also energize mentoring in the things that make life matter. This minor hard aspect will be in orb (close enough to matter) through 12/12.

11/24 (Fri)

11/26 (Sun)
Relationship healing and creative mentoring are in the flow with Venus trine Chiron (24°21′ Scorpio-Pisces). With Venus in Scorpio, sexual healing and occult training can also proceed more smoothly.
11/27 (Mon)
Your relationships and creativity might benefit from adjustments, perhaps even radical ones, with Venus quincunx Uranus (25°6′ Scorpio-Aries). This aspect can also help you take sacred sex to the next level.
11/28 (Tue)
Think seriously about the best ways to use a Mercury-Saturn conjunction (27°27′ Sagittarius). In fact, this aspect specifically supports serious thinking!
Is some outside force (or internalized voice) trying to control your thinking or self-expression? If so, this conjunction can help you step more fully into your authority. From this empowered space, you can think and communicate as you please!
This conjunction can also help you focus your mind into any Sagittarian theme: religion, philosophy, life’s meaning, foreign influences, celebration and more!

Old emotional wounds can be stimulated for healing as Mars quincunxes Chiron (24°19′ Libra-Pisces). Mentoring is also supported, especially in athletics, leadership, artistry and sexuality.
This energy also supports the improvement of your communication skills … if you haven’t already read Nonviolent Communication by Marshall Rosenberg, check it out!
Void-of-Course Moons
It’s best to avoid starting important new projects or making major purchases during void-of-course Moons. “Business as usual” is the optimal strategy. Void-of-course Moons occur when the Moon has made her last major Ptolemaic aspect, but has not yet moved into her next sign.
