Two Venus Conjunctions

March kicks off with two Venus conjunctions: Venus conjunct Jupiter (12°8′ Aries) on 3/2 and Venus conjunct Chiron (13°59′ Aries) on 3/3.

The Venus-Jupiter conjunction in Aries can potently amplify any of Venus’ core meanings. These include relationship, creativity, and money, so choose your focus!

The Venus-Chiron conjunction can energize relationships that support healing and wisdom-sharing. It can inspire you to learn how to relate more confidently with others, using appropriate assertiveness.

It can also use your relationships to trigger unhealed traumas so they can be fully and finally healed! (For more on trauma healing, see the 3/12 Jupiter-Chiron conjunction.)

3/4 (Sat) & 3/6 (Mon)

Two Uranus Aspects

Uranus is highlighted by two aspects: a Mercury-Uranus quintile (3°39′ Pisces-15°39′ Taurus) on 3/4 and a Sun-Uranus sextile (15°42’ Pisces-Taurus) on 3/6.

This is a great time to focus on the life-affirming qualities of Uranus:

• Accept what’s unique and different within yourself and share it with the world as appropriate,

• Follow your intuitive hits, and

• Serve others using your special gifts and talents that you most love to use.

3/7 (Tue)

Uranian Virgo Full Moon

No sign loves intricate detail more than Virgo. Which is a good thing, since this Full Moon has an intricate set of aspects!

But let’s start with the basics. Any Virgo Full Moon is great for release or adjustment in the areas of service, health, and attention to detail.

Are you balancing service to others with appropriate self-care? And are you remembering that “perfection is a direction,” rather than berating yourself when you don’t climb to the highest pinnacle of precision? (After years of rampant hyper-perfectionism, I finally realized that I could do ten things quite well enough in the time it took me to insanely hyper-perfect one!)

Aspects

This Virgo Full Moon has six aspects, not counting the mandatory opposition to the Sun.

The most important aspect is a tight trine with Uranus. This encourages you to serve in your own unique way, rather than compromising to fit anyone else’s expectations. Also consider outside-the-box approaches to healthcare such as complementary or alternative medicine.

A moderately strong T-Square, with Mars at right angles to the luminaries, can fire up your enthusiasm for your Full Moon releases and adjustments. With Mars in Gemini, you can also enjoy extra energy for learning and sharing information.

You also get a power boost from a 135° Moon-Pluto sesquare. This also supports adjustments that amplify your power, wealth, and personal transformation.

The theme of shadow work is double-teamed by Pluto and Chiron. Chiron, the wounded healer, quincunxes the Moon.

A great way to receive the wealth and power offered by Pluto, and step into the Chironic role of healer and wisdom giver, is to heal the old traumas that stop you from receiving them. Venus is conjunct Chiron, and also quincunxes the Moon. This suggests that the emotional triggers that can catalyze your inner healing may well come from people you’re close to. Venus also suggests interacting with others to give or receive healing.

This Full Moon’s final significant aspect is a sextile with Pallas Athena. This suggests that you do everything already mentioned with appropriate assertiveness, craft, and strategy. Done in a spirit of mutual benefit, this will help everyone come out shining!

Sabian Symbol

This Full Moon’s Sabian Symbol is, “A volcanic eruption bringing dust clouds, flowing lava, earth rumblings.”

Does this sound like the times we’re in? Volcanic eruptions reshape the land, just as our current volatile times are reshaping our reality.

Fortunately, it’s easiest to make extraordinary breakthroughs when the status quo is radically disrupted. Embrace unpredictability as your new normal, and use it to supercharge your personal growth!

Saturn Enters Pisces

Saturn enters Pisces on 3/7 at 8:35 am EST, and will stay in astrology’s most mystical sign for more than two years — through 5/24/25.

This opens the door to several wonderful opportunities!

Law of Attraction. Pisces represents imagination and visualization. Saturn represents physical crystallization. This is the perfect combination for making your dreams come true!

Embodied Awakening. Pisces represents spiritual awakening, while Saturn represents physical embodiment. Far from being a spaced-out discombobulation, embodied awakening radically improves everything in your life!

The basic attributes of embodied awakening include:

• More harmony, flow, ease, and grace,

• Doing everything you’re responsible for more responsibly and joyfully,

• Better intuition and less need for laborious mental decisions, and

• Full-body euphoria!

Conscious Dissolution. In this context, Saturn represents existing structures, while Neptune represents the ones that don’t serve highest good being dissolved. It’s important to clear away whatever has outlived its usefulness. This makes room for better things to replace them!

Creative Accomplishment. Pisces represents inspired creativity, while Saturn represents its concrete manifestation. It’s wonderful to enjoy a creative inspiration in your mind. But it can be even more wonderful to manifest it into the world so it can enrich and benefit others! This is easier with Saturn in Pisces.

Pitfalls

Any astrological alignment can be used positively or negatively. With Saturn in Pisces, I recommend that you avoid these detrimental expressions:

• Using escapism to avoid challenges

• Using an abundance of ideas as an excuse not to act on any of them

• Excessive isolation

• Repressing spiritual awakening or inspired creativity

By the way, Saturn in Pisces isn’t the only way to energize the uplifting possibilities I’ve described. Saturn is an expression of the tenth astrological archetype, while Pisces expresses the twelfth. Here are other ways these archetypes can come together. (Check your horoscope!)

• Aspects between Saturn and Neptune

• Neptune in Capricorn

• Saturn in the twelfth house

• Neptune in the tenth house

I’ve only included the Saturn in Pisces interpretations above that I thought would be most helpful. But you can create more possibilities by creatively combining keywords in the two categories below. Have fun!

Saturn/Capricorn/10th house keywords: mature, responsible, productive, good time management, plan the work and work the plan, wise elder, hermit, death, challenge, reality checks, “the obstacle is the way.”

Pisces/Neptune/12th house keywords: spiritual awakening, inspired creativity, flow state, dreams, visions.

3/12 (Sun)

Jupiter Conjunct Chiron

One of 2023’s most important aspects – Jupiter conjunct Chiron – aligns at 1:53 am EST (14°26′ Aries). It’s in orb (close enough to connect energetically) for four months: 1/7 thru 5/6.

Wisdom

For starters, these planets share similar meanings. Chiron is the mentor, while Jupiter is the professor, philosopher, or guru.

Both planets represent giving or receiving wisdom. In person or online, this is a wonderful time to expand your knowledge where it counts, or share your insights with others!

Trauma Healing

Jupiter also represents expansion, so let’s branch out to a different interpretation. Chiron is the wounded healer. His partnership with Jupiter can amplify shadow work opportunities.

Have your unhealed traumas been triggered more often, or more easily, since Jupiter and Chiron started merging their energies on January 7? This increased likelihood will continue through early May, so it’s important to have an effective self-healing technique ready.

Adding Aries

So far we’ve only considered the planetary meanings of Jupiter and Chiron. But what about their placement in Aries? Let’s consider how its rulership of assertiveness and sex can color this conjunction’s interpretation.

Amplified Assertiveness

Assertiveness can be strengthened during the Jupiter-Chiron conjunction. Whether this is good or bad depends on how it’s used.

On the dark side, assertiveness can manifest as aggression. According to Healthline.com, social psychology describes aggression as any behavior or act aimed at harming a person or animal or damaging physical property. Aggressive acts could include physical violence, or could manifest as shouting, swearing, and harsh language.

How can assertiveness be used positively? Mayoclinic.org defines assertiveness as a “core communication skill” that can help you “express yourself effectively and stand up for your point of view.” This can be done “while respecting the rights and beliefs of others.”

Other benefits of being assertive, according to the site, include increased self-esteem, earning others’ respect, and improved stress management. If you find it hard to be appropriately assertive – which includes saying no when it’s in your best interest – this Jupiter-Chiron conjunction is a great time to step more fully into your power!

Sexual Trauma

As I mentioned above, the Jupiter-Chiron conjunction’s placement in Aries can amplify sexual trauma. And there’s a lot of sexual trauma that needs healing, as the sobering statistics on sexual violence in the United States show.

According to the National Sexual Violence Resource Center, one in five women has experienced completed or attempted rape. And nearly 25% of men experienced some form of contact sexual violence. Nationwide, 81% of women and 43% of men reported experiencing some form of sexual harassment and/or assault. 

It’s never too late to heal from sexual assault. Here’s where you can find help in the US.

Unfortunately, there could be more sexual assaults than usual, as well as generally increased aggression, during the Jupiter-Chiron conjunction in Aries. Do whatever you can to stay out of harm’s way. If you’re a potential perpetrator, this is an ideal time to seek psychological help. (One estimate indicates that almost a quarter of men admit to engaging in some form of sexual coercion.)

Sexual Upside Opportunities

How can this conjunction help you take your positive sexual experiences to the next level?

The most obvious way is to increase your sexual knowledge. There are lots of educational books and online resources that can help you improve your lovemaking skills and embrace a more sex-positive worldview.

Have you and your lover told each other exactly how you like to experience sexual pleasure? Have you made time for dedicated practice sessions where you explore what gives each of you the most wonderful erotic experience? Would it be appropriate to work with a sex therapist, coach, or other qualified professional to help you with sexual healing and pleasure optimization?

Conclusion

Now you can see why the Jupiter-Chiron conduction in Aries is one of 2023’s most potent aspects. May you minimize its downside and revel in its positive possibilities!

3/14 (Tue) & 3/15 (Wed)

Two Neptune Aspects

Neptune takes center stage with back-to-back aspects: a Mars-Neptune square (25°4′ Gemini-Pisces) on 3/14 and a Sun-Neptune conjunction (25°6′ Pisces) on 3/15.

Neptune is in Pisces, and the planet and sign share the same keywords. The life-affirming ideas I prefer to highlight include spiritual awakening, inspired creativity, and functioning in flow state. Try to avoid lower Neptune expressions such as substance abuse, excessive escapism, aimless drifting, and playing the victim.

Positive uses of the Mars-Neptune square include soul-blended sex, acting in alignment with your highest ideals, and operating in a flow state of intuitively guided action. Take care to avoid the square’s darker possibilities, which include sexual violence and acting on false information.

The Sun-Neptune conjunction invites you to merge your higher self with your human self. More and more people are accomplishing this, sometimes within seconds, with my free Embodied Awakening Invocation.
