Jupiter enters Capricorn

Jupiter swaps its fiery home sign of Sagittarius for the chillier climes of Capricorn on 12/2. Jupiter will transit Capricorn until 12/19/20.

Life-affirming possibilities of Jupiter in Capricorn include expanded energy for maturity and responsibility, as well as time management, planning and implementation. Darker potentials include overwork, excessive seriousness, and amoral “the ends justify the means” thinking.

Cradle Begins

How about firing up the Law Of Attraction … not for selfish reasons, but to bring positive change for a higher cause? You can do so dynamically and assertively with a Cradle that starts today, peaks on 12/14 and ends on 12/22. It includes Mars, Vesta, Saturn and Neptune.

This Cradle can also be used for a more specialized Law of Attraction practice: sex magic. This involves holding your goal clearly in your mind throughout arousal and orgasm. This focuses the procreative power of your sexual energy to help give birth to your vision!

Jupiter Square Chiron

Would you enjoy amplified opportunities for healing and mentoring? How about shadow work? They’re all on the table with Jupiter square Chiron (1°26′ Capricorn-Aries).

Don’t be surprised if this intense aspect stirs up unpleasant emotions. If you repress these disturbing feelings, it only guarantees that they’ll reemerge later. Instead, try a proven technique like my free Healing Invocation to clear those old wounds once and for all.

The square can also help you take your abilities as a healer and mentor to the next level. Jupiter also rules foreign lands, so stay open to techniques from other countries and cultures.

This single-pass square came into orb on 11/4, and will stay in effect through 1/15/20.

Grand Trine Peaks

The Mars-Neptune-North Node Grand Trine that started on 11/28 peaks today (12/8) and ends on 12/16. This flowing aspect pattern makes it easier for you to pour vigorous, flowing energy into your life purpose.

Your natal chart has lots of specific information about your life purpose. But there’s a simpler way to start aligning with the reason you incarnated: just do what you’re most enthusiastic about!

Mars in Scorpio can generate plenty of that enthusiasm. Neptune can flow in all the divine inspiration you need. Finally, the North Node in Cancer reminds you that it’s easiest to fulfill your life purpose when you follow your heart. You’ll feel strong emotional resonance when you align with your True North.

As my late astrology mentor Kelly Lee Phipps used to say, Saturn writes the reality checks. As Saturn conjoins Venus (19°4′ Capricorn), it’s time to take an uncompromising look at your key relationships.

This includes all your important romantic and platonic relationships. Are they helping you achieve your goals? Do they have a solid foundation? Are they built for the long haul?

Saturn will bring challenge when a relationship isn’t serving highest good in its current form. But if a relationship is properly aligned, Saturn can give it a deeper foundation … and maybe add on an extra storey or two!

Venus also represents creativity and finance, so watch for reality checks in these areas too. If you’re an artist, this conjunction can help you enjoy increased creative productivity.

Gemini Full Moon

A Full Moon illuminates the sky at 12:09 AM EST (19°51′ Gemini). Any Gemini Full Moon is great for release or adjustment in your learning, teaching and communication, as well as the amount of variety and novelty in your life.

Aspects

The luminaries form a T-square with Pallas Athena and Neptune. This suggests that you gather your information first and foremost from your inner wisdom (Neptune). After that, use your mental faculties (Gemini and Sagittarius) to form your strategy and carry it out diplomatically (Pallas Athena). This T-square also has special support for all forms of inspired communication, such as creative writing and public speaking.

The Moon also receives tight quincunxes from triple-conjunct Venus, Saturn and Pluto. This supports reality checks and adjustments in your relationships, finances and creative expression.

These quincunxes also invite you to examine your relationship power dynamics. Do you tend to dominate, be dominated, or share power equally?

Sabian Symbol

This Full Moon’s Sabian Symbol is, “A cafeteria with an abundance of choices.” This image certainly fits Gemini’s love of variety!

Life on earth offers a dazzling smorgasbord of opportunities. Some people eat the same thing every time they go to a cafeteria, while others are always trying new things.

Chiron Direct

Chiron, who turned retrograde on 7/8 at 5°56′ Aries, stations direct today at 1°26′ Aries.

When Chiron turned retrograde, I suggested that you reflect on the roles that healing and mentoring play in your life. Would it benefit you to focus on your own health – physical, emotional, mental or spiritual? Are you called to transform how you support the healing of others?

Then there’s mentoring. Could you benefit from others’ wisdom? Would it be good to change how you share your acumen? With Chiron direct, it’s a good time to start taking action on the insights you’ve gained in these areas.

Pluto’s job is to destroy what doesn’t serve your highest good, and supercharge what does! You could see these effects in your relationships, creativity and money as Venus conjoins Pluto (21°48′ Capricorn). Harness this energy skillfully by consciously transforming your relationships for the better, getting seriously productive with your creativity, and getting real with your finances.
