Cradle Begins: Sun-Jupiter-Neptune-Pluto

You can enjoy amplified abundance, thanks to a Sun-Jupiter-Neptune-Pluto Cradle that begins today, peaks on 5/9 and ends on 5/14.

The Sun is in Taurus, the sign of money and resources. Expansive Jupiter is in Scorpio, the sign of great wealth. Pluto also represents great wealth, and is in accomplishment-loving Capricorn. Piscean Neptune contributes an easy flow of divine energy, and also supports Law of Attraction manifestation.

Remember that “wealth” can represent anything that’s important to you, tangible or intangible.

This Cradle also supports sacred sex. In this context, Taurus represents sensuality. Scorpio and Pluto hold the energy of sacred sexuality, while Neptune contributes divine inspiration and ecstatic energy flow.

A third use for this Cradle is embodied awakening. Piscean Neptune represents divine consciousness. Pluto in Scorpio catalyzes the transformation of consciousness. Finally, the earth signs Taurus and Capricorn anchor all this blissful energy into your physical form.

Double Yod Key Begins: Mercury-Pallas-Jupiter-Pluto

Bold communication is energized by a Double Yod Key with Mercury, Pallas, Jupiter and Pluto. It begins today (5/1), peaks on 5/6 and ends on 5/8.

The urge to inform starts with Mercury in Aries. Strategic Pallas in data-loving Gemini can help you craft your message for maximum impact. Jupiter rules publication, while Jupiter’s placement in Scorpio and Pluto invite a life-transforming message. Pluto’s placement in Capricorn supports practical advice, stated clearly and simply.

Thor’s Hammer Begins: Ceres-Jupiter-Chiron

Taurus New Moon

A New Moon aligns at 7:48 am EDT (24°36′ Taurus). Any New Moon in Taurus is great for new beginnings in material resources, enjoying the five senses, and self-esteem. Nature time, relaxation and persistence can also enjoy fresh energy.

Aspects

This New Moon’s tightest aspect is a trine from Pluto. This smoothly supports abundance, transformation and sacred sexuality. A trine from Mars empowers sex, entrepreneurship, leadership and athletic performance. Mars and Pluto are both in Capricorn, which supports accomplishment, maturity and time management.

Jupiter’s opposition to the luminaries amplifies luck, expansion and joy. Jupiter can also contribute themes such as higher education, publication, and sharing wisdom. Jupiter also rules questing, foreign travel, and the meaning of life.

Sabian Symbol

This New Moon’s Sabian Symbol is, “A large well-kept public park.” For starters, this reiterates the Taurus themes of nature and relaxation.

This symbol suggests keeping an appropriate balance between wilderness and civilization. A public park typically contains elements of nature such as grass and trees. These can be nurturing and beautiful, but are a far cry from the wild, untamed vitality of an old-growth forest.

Many of us rarely or never experience a part of nature that hasn’t been altered by humanity. And many spend far less time in nature than would be optimal for our health and happiness.

If so, regular visits to “a large well-kept public park” would be much better than no nature at all. Time spent in nature promotes peace of mind, and helps restore the body to its optimal functioning. Uranus enters Taurus

An outer planet changing signs is always astrological headline news. Uranus spends about seven years in each sign, and today (5/15) begins its transition from Aries to Taurus.

I say “transition” because Uranus will retrograde back into Aries on 11/6/18. Uranus will reenter Taurus on 3/6/19, then stay in the Sign of the Bull for over seven years. Uranus will enter Gemini on 4/26/26.

At first blush, the differences between Uranus and Taurus would seem to make this a difficult placement. Uranus promotes revolution, paradigm shift and quick change. Taurus can be stubborn to a fault. Its motto can be, “The devil I know is better than the devil I don’t know.”

Undoubtedly, we will experience some of this “irresistible force meets unmovable object” dynamic with Uranus in Taurus. But harmonious common ground can always be found between astrological archetypes. Here are some life-affirming combinations of these two energies:

• “Fly your freak flag,” bringing the fullness of your quirky human self into grounded everyday manifestation.
• Follow the guidance of your intuitive flashes in your daily life.
• Take a fresh look at your relationship with money and possessions. To me, it now seems insane to have a life or society primarily motivated by the accumulation of wealth. What would your life look like if you prioritized your authentic individual expression, followed your intuitive flashes, and served others using your special gifts that you most love to use?
• Most of us do need income to survive. Can you revolutionize your livelihood to align more harmoniously with your life purpose? Even if you earned less money, would you be happier doing what your soul sent you here to do? (I made this trade-off 17 years ago. I have loved what I’ve done for a living ever since, and have never regretted leaving that soul-sucking corporate job!)
• Revolutionize sensuality. What outside-the-box approach would maximize the pleasure you enjoy in sight, sound, scent, taste and touch? Physical pleasure is profoundly healing. And, of course, it feels wonderful!
• Awaken to the living earth. Every tree, stone and stream has a living consciousness that you can connect to. Are you not yet awake to this shamanic “middle world,” where every physical being has a perceptible energy field and consciousness? Sit quietly with an object that attracts you. Ask to be aware of its living consciousness. It could be your first step into a larger world!

Globally, climate change has already set the stage for much of the earth’s land to be radically transformed over the next seven years – accompanied by large-scale disruption and suffering. With any luck, this will persuade the global powers-that-be to make their own radical shift: to increasingly prioritize sustainability over short-term gain. This is also a time when major changes in farming, to eco-friendly, high-yield methods, are more likely.

Thor’s Hammer Begins: Ceres-Vesta-Chiron

Collective healing is energized by a Ceres-Vesta-Chiron Thor’s Hammer. It starts today (5/15), peaks on 5/25 and ends on 6/7.

Ceres, the apex planet, can reflect sorrow and loss. Chiron is the wounded healer. And Vesta rules actions that serve the greater good. This is a good time to take part in actions that help heal the world around you.

It’s good to know that your own challenging catalysts may not just be for you. You’re collected to everyone else by an invisible web of energy. Healing yourself can benefit many other beings … even if you have no idea who they are!
