In astrology, the outer planets are called the “gods of change.” And for good reason. When they line up in certain ways, major changes happen!
One well-known example is the Uranus-Pluto conjunction. This world-changing aspect was felt throughout the 60s and early 70s. Its radical “big change now!” energy revolutionized people and countries everywhere. This was the time of flower power, free love, Vietnam war protests, and the Beatles.
The potent Uranus-Neptune conjunction was strong from the late 80s through the late 90s. It coincided with the collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War. More equitable societal structures arose around the world. The internet took off. And huge numbers of people started exploring spiritual awakening and alternative spirituality.
These were two-planet combinations. But what’s happening now involves all three outer planets. With the game-changing energies of Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto combined, the effects are even more transformative!
The Mini Grand Trine
These three gods of change are in a harmonious aspect pattern. It’s called a Mini Grand Trine, created entirely from soft astrology aspects. (Two 60° sextiles and one 120° trine, to be precise.) This can make it easier to create life-affirming outcomes.
But this harmonious aspect pattern can’t stop these planets’ darker energies from manifesting. Examples of this include the heartless aggression, chaotic behavior, and autocratic impulses of the Trump administration, the suffering Israel is inflicting on the people of Gaza, and Russia’s unrelenting war in Ukraine.
However, grim political realities need not stop you from using this Mini Grand Trine’s positive potentials. It can help you magnificently transform yourself and the world around you. In fact, our challenging global situation could be exactly what’s needed for a dramatic shift into a more harmonious and awakened reality!

Once In A Lifetime
How unusual is this? There hasn’t been an alignment of the three outer planets this powerful since the 1770s. 250 years ago, an outer planets Grand Trine (an equilateral triangle) coincided with the US Declaration of Independence.
What about the future? We won’t have another outer planets alignment this strong (another Mini Grand Trine) until the 2190s. That’s 170 years from now.
This really is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
Saturn Too!
Saturn’s also in the mix now. He’s conjunct Neptune, right in the center of this aspect pattern.
Saturn joined the gods of change Mini Grand Trine in April 2025, and will retain his temporary membership through mid-April of 2026.
Saturn brings challenge, delays, and obstructions where they’re needed for personal and collective growth. We’re certainly seeing plenty of that! In his darker expressions, Saturn can be cold, calculating, and heartless. He can believe that the means, however horrible, justify the ends.
But Saturn can also help you be mature, wise, and responsible. He can help you “plan to work and work the plan” and manage your time well. And he can be a paragon of productivity!
His conjunction with Neptune adds additional possibilities. These include more effective Law of Attraction manifestation and easier attainment of spiritual awakening. This Saturn-Neptune conjunction also empowers the conscious dissolution of whatever has outlasted its usefulness.
How will this affect you?
By mid-2030, this transiting “gods of change” aspect pattern will impact over half of your natal chart! Any planet or sensitive point between 0 and 15.5 degrees of any sign, or between 27 and 29 degrees, will be lit up by these monumental astrological forces.
