The first half of November features an intense Scorpio New Moon tightly opposing Uranus. We also have 3 T-squares making potent alchemy with the Saturn-Uranus square – the most important aspect of 2021!

11/1 (Mon)

Challenging T-square Peaks

The Sun entered Scorpio on 10/23. This Scorpio energy became even more intense as the Sun formed a T-square with Saturn and Uranus. This challenging aspect pattern started on 10/26, peaks today (11/1) and ends on 11/9.

In addition to amplifying the effects of the Scorpio Sun, the Sun also energizes the ongoing Saturn-Uranus Square! This square is the most important aspect of 2021, and lasts the entire year and then some.

7 More Days of Shadow Work?

A Yod that started on 10/28 could catalyze whatever psychological healing most serves you. This “Finger of God” aspect pattern peaks today (11/1) and ends on 11/6. It has the Scorpio Sun at the tip, and Ceres and Chiron on the back end.

Psychological healing, a/k/a shadow work, is a theme shared by all three planets. The Sun is in Scorpio, the sign most associated with trauma. Ceres is the grain goddess who wept inconsolably when Pluto (Scorpio’s modern ruler) abducted her daughter Persephone to the underworld. And Chiron is the Wounded Healer.

Though undeniably challenging, this is a tremendous opportunity if you use it skillfully. For most people, effective shadow work is the fastest route to deeper spiritual awakening.

This is supported by the concept of the “Great Onion of Consciousness”. This starts with the idea that you already have a fundamental self that’s fully awakened. However, the unhealed wounds and traumas you accumulate over many lifetimes form dark layers. These shroud your perfect core of light.

This all forms the “Great Onion of Consciousness”. The divine light at the core is so bright that some of it still shines through to you. If you want to receive more of this light – resulting in deeper spiritual awakening — you need to peel the layers of the onion. And this means facing and healing your old wounds and traumas.

11/1 & 11/2 (Mon & Tue)

Learning, teaching and communication can be more easy and smooth as Mercury trines Jupiter (22°39′ Libra-Aquarius) on 11/1. As a bonus, these communicative planets are in air signs, and air is the element of mind.

Mercury also squares Pluto (24°29′ Libra Capricorn) on 11/2. This combo is great for investigation, research and detective work. You can focus your mind deeply into whatever you’re working on. You can also be more charismatic and persuasive.

11/3 (Wed)

Strongest Saturn-Uranus T-square Starts

We have 3 overlapping T-squares involving Saturn and Uranus in the first half of November. This is a big deal because, as I noted on 11/1, the Saturn-Uranus square is 2021’s most powerful aspect!

These T-squares are formed by the Sun, Mars and Mercury as all 3 pass through Scorpio. A Mars-Saturn-Uranus T-square starts today (11/3), peaks on 11/14 and ends on 11/26. It’s the most powerful of the three.

This is partly because it features Mars, who has a well-deserved reputation for stirring things up for better or worse! It’s also because Mars is the ancient ruler of Scorpio. This gives him special potency in this sign.

It’s been awhile since I quoted from Renn Butler’s amazing book, The Archetypal Universe: Astrological Patterns In Human Culture, Thought, Emotion and Dreams. This remains my favorite reference for 2- and 3- planet combinations. Here are some of Renn’s insights (slightly edited) on the low and high potentials of this trio:

Mars-Saturn-Uranus

Challenging

• extreme tensions or frustration
• technological stressors and overload
• the negative consequences of flying off the handle
• choppy or erratic behavior

Flowing

• a gift for facing problems and finding solutions
• a capacity to actively hold tension internally until a resolution presents itself
• consistent efforts to curb your volatile and reactive tendencies
• liberation from old resentments

Do your best to avoid or minimize the challenging potentials, and maximize the flowing ones!

These 3 T-squares will also stimulate the standalone effects of the Saturn-Uranus square.  Mars has the greatest impact, followed by the Sun and Mercury.

11/4 (Thu)

Scorpio New Moon

There’s a New Moon at 5:15 pm EDT (12°40′ Scorpio). Any Scorpio New Moon is great for new beginnings or fresh energy in any of Scorpio’s archetypal themes. Here’s what I said about those in my 10/23 forecast for the Sun entering Scorpio:

Transformation is a central Scorpio theme. Death and rebirth processes, especially those that are emotional or shamanic, are highlighted. It’s a good time to have effective shadow work processes ready, such as the Healing Invocation in my Free Invocation Masterclass.

Wealth is also a Scorpio theme. This could be lots of money, or anything that you value. Anything that makes your life better, tangible or intangible, could count as wealth.

Another Scorpio theme is power. This comes in two basic flavors. “Power over” is all about domination, control and manipulation. “Shared power” is exercised by those who have found their power internally, and want to help others find theirs as well.

Sex, another Scorpio theme, also has two basic levels. The first is simple lust, the raw physical desire for sexual pleasure and orgasm. The second is sacred or Tantric sex. This operates at a much higher level of ecstasy, made possible by the conscious blending of your light bodies.

Scorpio also rules the occult. Occult simply means “hidden”, and in metaphysical terms refers to what’s beyond the five senses. It need not be dark or creepy. Occult practices include astrology, tarot, energy healing, mediumship, and psychic abilities.

As you can see, Scorpio has a lot of themes. Choose the ones that most excite you and dive in!

Aspects

T-square

The Moon and Sun conjoin Mars, oppose Uranus and square Saturn. So, for starters, this New Moon gives a boost to the Mars-Saturn-Uranus T-square that started yesterday on 11/3.

By far, the most important of these aspects is Uranus opposite the luminaries. For starters, Uranus is the slowest and most powerful planet aspecting this New Moon. Plus, its aspect has the tightest orb: only about 1/10 of a degree from being exact!

This is a fabulous opportunity to optimize Uranus’ life-affirming potentials. Embrace what’s unique and different within yourself, and show those special qualities to the world to the greatest extent that serves highest good. Follow your intuitive hits – those times when you just “know it in your bones” – as much as possible. And serve others using your special talents that you most love to use.

Maximizing the high side of Uranus can help you keep its challenging effects at bay. You experience these when you’re nervous, irritable, or jangly, or when your life becomes crazy or chaotic. Give Uranus something better to do by focusing on its high side!

The Saturn square is moderately strong. If something isn’t aligned with your soul purpose, challenge can bring this to your attention. But if something does sync with the reason you incarnated, Saturn can help you be more mature, responsible and productive.

Mars’ conjunction to the Sun and Moon is loose, but his energy is certainly available. Mars can help you act as a warrior, pioneer or entrepreneur. Being in Scorpio, Mars can go beyond basic sexual desire into the ecstatic realms of sacred sexual blending.

Other Aspects

The planets outside the T-square act more as grace notes for this New Moon. A Pallas Athena trine can make it easier for you to project nuanced assertiveness. You might also have better luck with diplomacy, negotiation and mediation.

The Sun and Moon also semi-square Venus and Juno. Venus can stand for any important relationship, while Juno specifically represents committed partnerships.

This semi-square, being a minor hard aspect, could bring up some challenge in one or more relationships. If so, should you release the relationship, or work to heal it? As always, my favorite guide to effective relationship healing is Nonviolent Communication by Marshall Rosenberg.

Sabian Symbol

This New Moon’s Sabian Symbol is, “An inventor performs a laboratory experiment.”

This resonates with the Sun and Moon opposing Uranus. The future’s coming faster than ever, and the “normal” we knew will shrink ever smaller in the rearview mirror. Try something new … then consider making reinvention a routine part of your life!

11/7 (Sun)

3rd Saturn-Uranus T-square Begins

I mentioned above that there are three T-squares involving Saturn and Uranus in the first half of November. The third, a Mercury-Saturn-Uranus T-square, starts today (11/7), peaks on 11/12 and ends on 11/16.

Like the T-squares with the Sun and Mars, this one adds energy to this year’s most important aspect, the Saturn-Uranus square. But this Mercury T-square encourages you to focus on your thinking. How much are your thoughts following the same old patterns, or simply parroting what others believe?

On the other hand, how much are you thinking in innovative and unorthodox ways? We’re moving into unprecedented times, which can require radically new thought patterns. Are you willing to be a mental maverick?

The Mars-Saturn-Uranus T-square that started on 11/3 peaks today (11/14) and ends on 11/26.

You can enjoy the magic of creative inspiration and divine connection as Venus quintiles Neptune (8°28’ Capricorn-20°28’ Pisces).
