Boosted Grand Cross Radiates Wisdom, Service and Compassion

A Grand Cross with huge potential for soul-aligned compassion, unconditional love, and service to a higher cause started on 11/19 and runs for four months. This Grand Cross includes Vesta, Neptune and the lunar nodes. The effects of long-lasting aspect patterns like this get stronger when fast “trigger” planets line up with them.

These triggers happen twice in the first half of December. Today (12/1) the Sun conjoins the South Node and makes hard aspects to the other planets. This creates a Sun-Vesta-Neptune-Lunar Nodes Grand Cross that peaks on 12/9 and ends on 12/19.

As I said on 11/19, Vesta represents support for a higher cause that doesn’t directly benefit you. Neptune radiates unconditional love and compassion.

The lunar nodes represent life purpose. Plus, they’re in the Axis of Communication: North Node in Gemini, South Node in Sagittarius. This suggests that part of your service to this cause might include spreading the word about it. Learning more about it is also supported.

The Sagittarian Sun adds energy to this overall effect. It also adds power to the archetypal energy of the guru, professor, or philosopher. How can you can serve others by compassionately sharing your wisdom?

Triple Yod Highlights Relationship, Creativity and Higher Purpose

A rare Triple Yod begins on 12/3, peaks on 12/6 and ends on 12/10. It combines Venus, Mars, Vesta, Pluto and the North Node. The 3 individual Yods are Venus-Mars-Vesta, Venus-Pluto-North Node, and Venus-Mars-North Node.

The individual and combined Yods energize a variety of life-affirming possibilities … if you’re willing to make the necessary adjustments! These include:

• partnering with someone to support a higher cause
• using your creativity to support a higher cause
• transforming or releasing a relationship to better align with your soul purpose
• using your creative gifts to communicate a transformational message
• using sacred sexual energy to support a higher cause that aligns with your life purpose
• partnering with someone to create or transmit a soul-aligned message

Have fun playing with these awesome possibilities!

Mercury Boosts Grand Cross

As I mentioned on 12/1, two “trigger” planets fire up a four-month Grand Cross in the first half of December.

The Sun aligned with this aspect pattern on 12/1, and Mercury joins it today (12/7). This new version of the Grand Cross – Mercury-Vesta-Neptune-Lunar Nodes – peaks on 12/13 and ends on 12/19.

What does this new variation mean? Pretty much the same thing as before! Mercury holds the energy of learning and teaching. The Grand Cross already contains this theme, thanks to the Gemini North Node and the Sagittarius South Node.

So Mercury mainly adds some vitality to the Grand Cross. For a thorough explanation of the underlying aspect pattern, which has huge potential for soul-aligned compassion, unconditional love, and service to a higher cause, see my 12/1 forecast.

Sagittarius Solar Eclipse

A Solar Eclipse lines up at 11:17 AM EST at 23°8′ Sagittarius. The Moon will completely obscure the Sun in Chile and Argentina. A partial solar eclipse will be visible in Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.

This eclipse is strong partly because the luminaries are so close to the South Node – only about 3° away. This eclipse is also empowered because it aligns with a powerful Grand Cross! (More on that in a moment.)

For starters, a Solar Eclipse is a New Moon. But a very powerful New Moon, since its effects last 6 to 12 months!

A New Moon in Sagittarius is great for new or renewed activities represented by this archetype. As I noted in my 11/21 forecast for the Sun entering Sagittarius, these include:

• questing and adventuring
• the wisdom giver (professor, philosopher, guru)
• the advanced student
• religion, philosophy, and the meaning of life
• luck
• foreign countries
• long-distance travel
• people and influences from other cultures
• joy, euphoria and exuberance!

Aspects

Grand Cross

This Solar Eclipse lines up with the Grand Cross I’ve repeatedly mentioned in this December 1-15 forecast. If you’re already up to speed on this Grand Cross – whose 4-month foundation includes Vesta, Neptune and the lunar nodes – feel free to skip ahead to the “Other Aspects” section.

This Grand Cross holds huge potential for soul-aligned compassion, unconditional love, and service to a higher cause. Vesta represents support for a higher cause that doesn’t directly benefit you.

Other Aspects

A trine from Mars in Aries smoothly adds the power of the warrior, pioneer or entrepreneur to your Solar Eclipse initiatives. A tight semi-sextile from Pluto adds power and the potential for wealth. (Although wealth could be money, it can be anything at all that you value!) Mars and Pluto can also help boost your sexual pleasure.

This Solar Eclipse also features a tight sesquare from Uranus. Take this as encouragement to be your authentic self, follow your intuitive hits, and serve others with your special talents that you most love to use!

Sabian Symbol

The Sabian Symbol for this Solar Eclipse is, “A bluebird, a sign of good luck and happiness, is standing at the door of the house.”

Sabian Symbols don’t get much more blatantly positive than this! I imagine that the bluebird is standing just outside your door, inviting you to wing off to some new adventure.

This image reminds us that there’s always hope, even in challenging times like these. Change always opens the door to new opportunities!

You have a Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius – fresh energy in astrology’s most optimistic sign – and a bluebird of happiness chirping at your door. What life-affirming new initiatives are you putting into motion?

Chiron Direct

Chiron, the wounded healer, turns direct today at 4°56′ Aries. He turned retrograde on 7/11 at 9°26′ Aries.

As I wrote on 7/11, Chiron retrograde was a great time to consider how effectively you’re working with your emotional and psychological wounds. (Thousands find my free Healing Invocation helpful for this.) You can also reflect on how well you’re serving others as a wisdom-giver and/or healer.

Now that Chiron is direct, it’s a great time to begin acting on the insights you’ve gained regarding these themes.

Check your natal chart for any sensitive points between 2° and 8° in the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn). Chiron can affect these powerfully as he stations direct, especially if any of these sensitive natal points represent relationships.

Whatever your Sun Sign, my forecasts can help you make the best use of the current astrological energies.

All dates and times are in the U.S. eastern time zone. Events are most powerful on the dates listed, but their influence will be active for at least a week before and after.

Everyone is affected by these global transits. However, you’ll be most powerfully impacted when moving planets activate sensitive points in your natal chart. Discover how these transits will personally affect you by booking a session with me.
