Challenging Aries New Moon w/ 8 Aries Planets!
An extraordinarily powerful New Moon lights up the sky on 4/17 at 7:51 am EDT (27°28′ Aries). It features eight planets in Aries, including all but one of the personal planets!
For starters, Aries is the first sign of the zodiac. An Aries New Moon always kicks off the astrological new year.
There’s a stunning Aries Grand Stellium as this New Moon perfects. The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Chiron, Neptune, and Eris are all in Aries. Eight planets in one sign creates a rare and potent concentration of energies.
Aries is the archetype of courage, initiation, and authentic selfhood. With so much planetary weight in this sign, the universe is proclaiming, “Act now!”
This New Moon’s dispositor (ruling planet) is Mars in Aries. Mars rules Aries, and the planet and sign share the same archetypal meanings. This emphatically re-emphasizes the potency of these Aries opportunities!
Chiron & Eris
A tight conjunction with Chiron and Eris makes this New Moon deeply personal.
The New Moon is less than one degree from Chiron. The Wounded Healer lets you take your healing journey deeper than ever before.
Chiron could be illuminating an Aries wound. If so, it’s about assertiveness, self-trust, courage, and identity. Are you confidently taking up space and pursuing what you want?
This isn’t about revisiting old wounds just to hurt again. It’s about understanding the wound as a teacher, pointing you toward a more authentic version of yourself.
Eris, the dwarf planet of discord and soul-level truth, is tightly conjunct the Sun, Moon, and Chiron.
Eris is associated with chaos and disruption. But the deeper meaning of her energy is the upheaval that happens when truth can no longer be suppressed. She throws the golden apple into the gathering, forcing everyone to stop pretending.
This tight New Moon-Chiron-Eris conjunction asks: Where have you been hiding your authentic self to keep the peace? Where have you been suppressing your desires, wounds and power, because speaking them would rock the boat?
Eris won’t tolerate the self-betrayal of making yourself small to accommodate others. As she partners with Chiron, your healing path leads to the truth you’ve been suppressing.
The process of healing old trauma once and for all is called shadow work. Over 15 years ago, divine inspiration blessed me with a shadow work tool that stunned me with its simplicity, speed, and effectiveness.
I’ve shared this tool with thousands of people since then, and have received copious feedback on how well it works. Just about everyone is amazed at how fast and easy trauma healing can be when you delegate it to your higher self!

Saturn & Neptune
Saturn and Neptune are conjunct in Aries, adding extraordinary depth to this New Moon’s possibilities.
Saturn brings structure, discipline, and long-range vision. Neptune contributes inspiration, spiritual attunement, and a vivid imagination. Together, they let you integrate bold action with a soul-aligned plan. You’re not just being encouraged to leap — you’re being given the tools to land well and build from there.
If all this sounds a lot like the Law of Attraction, it’s because it is. This Saturn-Neptune conjunction also makes it easier to achieve and maintain embodied awakening.
Mercury & Pallas Athena
Mercury is in a tight huddle with Mars, Saturn, and Neptune. This potently empowers your ability to learn, think, write, teach, and communicate!
Neptune can inspire your mind with divine downloads – or muddle it with misinformation. Double-check your facts before taking strong action based on your beliefs.
Pallas Athena is tightly semi-sextile the Lights. The Warrior Goddess is the feminine counterpart of Aries energy.
She’ll fight when she must, but prefers cunning and strategy. She can also help you with negotiation, diplomacy, and mediation. When you use her abilities in the highest way, everybody wins!
With her placement in Pisces and her Neptune conjunction, be sure to call in the flow of divine wisdom to guide you.
Everyone Direct
All major planets are currently direct. With no planetary retrograde energies creating friction or delays, the cosmic road is clear.
Sabian Symbol
This New Moon’s Sabian Symbol is “A large disappointed audience.”
This symbol resonates with what Chiron and Eris are asking. Authentic self-expression will always disappoint someone. This New Moon asks that you please yourself first. Then trust that your authenticity will attract the right audience.
What this New Moon supports
- Starting something meaningful you’ve been putting off.
- Healing wounds around self-assertiveness, courage, or identity.
- Taking genuine leadership in your own life.
- Committing to a new path even when you can’t yet see all the steps.
- Speaking your truth more directly.
- Starting a healing or wellness practice.
- Confronting what you’ve been suppressing about who you really are.
How to work with this New Moon
Write clear, present-tense intentions. What are you beginning? What old story about yourself are you ready to release?
Chiron and Eris potently influence this lunation. So you may want to reflect deeply on the specific truth or wound you’re ready to stop hiding. Journal, get a healing session, meditate, or spend time in nature.

Uranus Enters Gemini to Stay

Uranus enters Gemini on 4/25 at 8:51 pm EDT.
This is one of the most significant astrological events of the decade! Uranus only changes signs every seven to eight years. His ingress into Gemini marks the beginning of a new chapter for humanity, and for each of us personally.
We got a taste of Uranus in Gemini in 2025, 7/7 through 11/7. Then he retrograded back into Taurus, and returns to Gemini to stay on 4/25/26. He won’t fully depart Gemini for more than seven years, in mid-2033.
Uranus was most recently in Gemini 1941 to 1949. For most of us, this is a once-in-a-lifetime transit.
What Does Uranus Do?
Uranus is the great awakener and revolutionary of the solar system. He shakes up the status quo, fractures outmoded structures, and ignites sudden and surprising breakthroughs.
He rules innovation, technology, liberation, and radical change. He can be disruptive, but only to serve a higher purpose.
What Does Gemini Rule?
Gemini is the sign of the mind, communication, information, learning, teaching, and connection. He rules technology, transportation, media, local community, and the written and spoken word.
Gemini is curious, quick, adaptable, and insatiable for new ideas. His shadow side can be scattered, restless, or overloaded with information.
All this adds up to a revolution of the mind and everything it touches.
The Patterns of History: What Uranus in Gemini Has Done Before
The most powerful way to understand what an outer planet transit might bring is to study its track record.
Uranus spends about seven years in each sign, so Uranus in Gemini periods happen every 84 years. Each chapter lifts the same themes to a new level!
1439–1447: The Printing Press and the Birth of the Information Age
Gutenberg was perfecting his movable-type printing press in Strasbourg when Uranus was in Gemini 1439 to 1447. Within decades, this revolutionary device would shatter the Church’s monopoly on knowledge, ignite the Renaissance and Reformation, and fundamentally rewire how humans think, learn, and communicate.
Before Gutenberg, it took a scribe months to copy a single book. But within fifty years of his press, over 40,000 books had been printed in Europe alone. Information formerly restricted to monasteries and palaces could now be accessed and read by ordinary people. The world was changed forever.
A critical theme here is that Uranus in Gemini doesn’t just change specific information. He breaks open the container where the information lives!
1523–1530: The Reformation Explodes
The printing press had been around for about 70 years when Uranus next entered Gemini. The seeds it planted were now impossible to contain.
Martin Luther’s 95 Theses, nailed to a church door in 1517, spread across Europe with shocking speed precisely because of the printing press. By the time Uranus reached Gemini in 1523, the Protestant Reformation was erupting.
Ideas that had been heresy — private interpretation of scripture, worship in one’s own language, the right of an individual to read and think for themselves — were upending a thousand years of institutional order. The old information monopoly was collapsing.
1606–1614: The Scientific Revolution Takes Hold
This period brought the revelations made possible by Galileo’s telescopes in 1609 and 1610. These shattered the Earth-centered model of the cosmos that the Church had enforced for centuries.
Galileo pointed his new instruments at the sky and found moons orbiting Jupiter! This proved that not everything revolved around Earth. Information and perception were being revolutionized again. The power structures built on controlling what people knew were being shaken at their foundations.
1690–1698: The Age of Reason Dawns
John Locke published his Essay Concerning Human Understanding in 1689, just before Uranus entered Gemini. He then published his Two Treatises of Government in 1690, right as Uranus crossed the threshold.
These works laid the philosophical foundation for individual rights, religious tolerance, and representative government. The idea that human beings could reason their way to truth, without requiring a king or a pope to interpret reality for them, was revolutionary. It planted seeds that would flower spectacularly in the next Uranus-in-Gemini cycle.
1774–1782: The American Revolution and the Birth of a New Nation
The Enlightenment ideas seeded in the previous cycle now exploded into political reality. Uranus entered Gemini just as the British Parliament passed the Intolerable Acts in 1774, lighting the fuse.
The First Continental Congress convened. By 1775, shots were fired at Lexington and Concord. In 1776, with Uranus moving through Gemini, the Declaration of Independence was signed. This extraordinary document encoded the radical ideas that all men possess certain inalienable rights, and that government derives its just powers from the consent of the governed.
Revolutionary pamphlets, newspapers, and broadsheets spread these ideas with a speed that would have been impossible without the printing press, born three Uranus-in-Gemini cycles earlier.
Science was also making huge strides. James Watt made his steam engine practical. William Herschel discovered Uranus in the sky. Lavoisier identified the composition of air. The Montgolfier brothers created the first hot air balloon, letting Gemini’s love of flight and movement literally rise into the sky. And research into electric eels in 1775 laid the groundwork for the electric battery.
1858–1866: The Civil War and the Telegraph Revolution
The next cycle brought perhaps the most wrenching chapter in American history: the Civil War. Uranus entered Gemini in June 1858, the same year Abraham Lincoln delivered his famous “A House Divided Against Itself Cannot Stand” speech. The war that speech foreshadowed — a war fought, at its moral core, over whether human beings could be treated as property — began in 1861 with Mars conjunct Uranus in Gemini.
This cycle also brought a revolution in communication technology that mirrors our current moment.
The first sound recording was made in 1860. The first transcontinental telegraph line connected the coasts of America in 1861. The first underground railway opened in London in 1863. The Pony Express briefly attempted to bridge the vast distances of the American West before being made obsolete by the telegraph.
Great literary voices emerged, including Dickens, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, and Flaubert. The era was saturated with the drive to communicate, connect, and be heard at a distance.
1941–1949: World War II and the Computing Revolution
The most recent Uranus-in-Gemini period overlaps with history’s most violent conflict. World War II was quintessentially Uranus in Gemini. It was a war fought not only on battlefields but in the airwaves, through propaganda, intelligence, and information.
Radar, developed during this period, used electromagnetic waves to see across darkness and distance. The earliest computers were built. Alan Turing’s code-breaking machines at Bletchley Park cracked the Nazis’ encrypted communications, possibly shortening the war by years.
The atomic bomb — which split the very structure of matter and released previously unimaginable energy — was detonated for the first time in 1945. The world’s nervous system (Gemini) was shocked and electrified (Uranus).
The post-war period brought not only the United Nations and a new world order, but the dawn of the electronic age. Television, computers, and the telecommunications infrastructure was built.
This Uranus in Gemini interpretation continues after this message.

The Big Picture: What This Era May Bring
A clear archetypal signature emerges from this historical pattern. Every Uranus-in-Gemini era brings a revolution in how information is created, shared, and controlled. Our era will be the same.
The printing press shattered the Church’s monopoly on scripture. The telegraph broke geography’s hold on news. Radio and television rewired the collective nervous system of nations.
In our era, social media broke traditional media’s hold on narrative. And AI is rewriting reality in ways we can’t hope to imagine.
Uranus in Gemini sets up such threshold moments.
AI and Communications
We can expect artificial intelligence and communication technology to advance at a pace that will astonish even the optimists. Uranus rules technology and electricity, while Gemini rules information and communication. Together, they’re a supercharged innovation engine.
The historical parallels are striking. Gutenberg’s press placed knowledge in the hands of ordinary people with world-changing speed. Today’s AI may do something comparable — or something far larger — to how we create, access, and relate to information. We’re just starting to find out.
Education
Education will be dramatically reimagined. Every previous Uranus-in-Gemini period disrupted who gets to learn, how they learn, and who controls the curriculum.
The Reformation put scripture in the hands of ordinary believers. The telegraph and railroad made ideas mobile. WWII-era computing cracked codes that human minds alone couldn’t solve.
What happens to teaching and learning when AI can tutor, generate, translate, and synthesize at inhuman speed? Traditional schooling models will face radical disruption. New non-linear, tech-driven, and community-based forms of learning are emerging to replace them.
Transportation
Transportation and local mobility have also transformed in every prior cycle. These include the steam engine, the railroad, the airplane, and the automobile. This time, expect further breakthroughs in electric vehicles, autonomous transport, drones, and innovations in how we move through our local worlds. Gemini rules neighborhoods and short journeys, while Uranus electrifies whatever it touches.
History also shows us the shadow side of this transit with uncomfortable clarity.
The printing press didn’t just enable the Renaissance, it also enabled propaganda and religious warfare. The telegraph didn’t guarantee peace, but allowed armies to coordinate with unprecedented speed.
Intense polarization has shadowed every Uranus-in-Gemini period. This includes the Civil War’s “house divided,” the Allied vs. Axis fracture of WWII, and today’s chasms of left vs. right, digital vs. analog, and human vs. machine.
Social Discourse
Social discourse could become more electric and polarized. Gemini can express as brilliant dialogue, or as two sides so convinced of their rightness that they no longer really listen to each other.
With Uranus in Gemini, expect both: breakthrough conversations that genuinely change minds and intensified culture-war dynamics that harden them. The invitation is to stay genuinely curious instead of defensive.
The Collective Nervous System
Finally, and very personally, the collective nervous system will be activated.
In medical astrology, Gemini rules the nervous system and the lungs. Uranus rules electricity and sudden shock. Many will feel the cumulative charge of this transit as mental restlessness, information overwhelm, or free-floating anxiety.
This is the body registering what the mind is processing. Practices that calm and regulate the nervous system — such as nature time, breathwork, meditation, and embodied movement — can be valuable anchors during these years. You might find my free invocations for healing and embodied awakening especially helpful.
The same choice that confronted Gutenberg’s Europe, Lincoln’s America, and Churchill’s Britain stands before us now. What we do with it — how we navigate the AI revolution, how we respond to the fragmentation of shared reality, how we choose to communicate with each other across our divisions — is the central question of the Uranus in Gemini era.
The Sabian Symbol: A Clue to the Journey
The Sabian Symbol for 0° Gemini — “A Glass-Bottomed Boat Reveals Undersea Wonders” — beautifully captures the energy of this transit. You’re floating over waters that suddenly become transparent.
Depths you never suspected are now visible. The unconscious becomes accessible. Hidden realities can surface. The invitation is to observe with curiosity and openness, rather than fear, as the unseen reveals itself.
Uranus in Gemini and the “Gods of Change” Minor Grand Trine
This ingress doesn’t happen in isolation. As Uranus enters Gemini, it joins an already-historic configuration: the Minor Grand Trine with Neptune and Pluto I’ve been writing about for several years. These three outer planets — the “gods of change” — haven’t come together this powerfully since the American Revolution, and won’t do so again for 170 years.
Uranus in Gemini forms a trine to Pluto in Aquarius and a sextile to Neptune in Aries. The themes of collective awakening, technological revolution, the dismantling of outdated power structures, and the emergence of a genuinely new world are all supercharged.
Uranus is the last of the three outer planets to lock into its new air or fire sign. (Neptune is in Aries and Pluto is in Aquarius.) Since air and fire are compatible elements, this helps these gods of change interact more potently. Air and fire are also the masculine elements, making it easier for you to get in gear and make things happen!
This is, quite literally, a once-in-several-lifetimes moment. I’m not exaggerating when I say that this Minor Grand Trine, which continues through mid-2029, is the most potent astrological period of our lives!

What This Means for You
Everyone will feel this transit. But the way it shows up in your life depends on where Gemini falls in your natal chart, and whether Uranus will aspect your personal planets, chart angles, or other sensitive points.
How to Navigate This Transit Well
Uranus rewards those who stay flexible and embrace change. It disrupts those who cling rigidly to familiar but outworn structures. Here are some practices that can help you make the most of Uranus in Gemini:
- Stay curious. When something surprising or unexpected happens, ask “What could I learn from this?” before reacting.
- Upgrade your information diet. This is a powerful time to learn something radically new — a skill, language, or discipline — that stretches your mind in fresh directions.
- Manage your nervous system. The heightened mental electricity of this era can degrade into anxiety without positive outlets. Regular grounding, nature, and mind-body practices (such as my previously mentioned free invocations for healing and embodied awakening) are your allies.
- Question what you think you know. Uranus in Gemini is going to reveal whole new levels of mind-boggling information. Stay humble and open.
- Share your ideas. Gemini loves communication. Uranus loves revolution. If you have ideas that feel unusual or ahead of their time, this is the time to speak them!
The Bottom Line
We’re living through one of the most extraordinary astrological eras in centuries. For its part, Uranus entering Gemini is a massive upgrade to humanity’s collective operating system. It will sometimes be disorienting. But it also carries the potential for extraordinary breakthroughs in how we think, communicate, learn, and connect.
The glass-bottomed boat has launched. The depths are becoming visible. Gaze with wonder and enjoy the journey!

Committed Partnership Intensity and Opportunity: Juno Conjunct Pluto
There’s a Juno-Pluto conjunction on 4/20 (5°26′ Aquarius).
Juno is the asteroid goddess of committed partnership. Pluto will examine the structure of each committed partnership you have, probing to see if some level of release or adjustment would serve the highest good. If so, an appropriate challenge will draw this to your attention.
However, if a relationship is on solid ground, Pluto can empower you both to make your connection even more wonderful. Pluto’s blessings could include wealth, power, positive transformation, sacred sexuality, and high-vibration occult arts. Pick your categories!
Fast Mover Aspects
My recent forecasts have only featured one fast mover. But we have five in this one!
As noted in the special note at the start of this forecast, I give much more detailed attention to these fast mover aspects in my April 16-30 audio and video podcasts.
Mercury
Mercury receives abundant stimulation from slower planets throughout the second half of April. This includes all the social and outer planets.
All this adds up to tremendous empowerment for your ability to think, learn, write, teach, and communicate. You also have extra access to divine mind. This can bless you with intuitive hits and information flow beyond anything you’ve learned with your left brain.
- 4/16: Mercury conjunct Neptune (2°47′ Aries)
- 4/18: Mercury sextile Pluto (5°26′ Aries-Aquarius)

The Sun
The Sun conjoins Chiron (4/16) and squares Pluto (4/25), reinforcing the challenges and opportunities described in the New Moon interpretation above.
The Sun also enters Taurus on 4/19 at 9:39 pm EDT, two days after the Aries New Moon. Taurus energy can help you slow down, ground yourself, and become more receptive.
Taurus season consolidates what Aries started. You’ve planted seeds and are now tending the soil. It’s time to ground your visions in practical steps, honor your body, enjoy simple pleasures, and honor your values.

- 4/26: Sun quintile Jupiter (6°18′ Taurus-18°18′ Cancer)
Mars
Mars’ major move in the second half of April is his conjunction with Saturn on 4/19. This could feel like driving with the brakes on if something requires release or adjustment. But this conjunction could also give you Energizer Bunny endurance to stay the course!
- 4/16: Mars sextile Pluto (5°25′ Aries-Aquarius)
- 4/19: Mars conjunct Saturn (7°51′ Aries)
- 4/29: Mars semisquare Uranus (15°11′ Aries-0°11′ Gemini)
Venus
Venus gains prominence later in April, aspecting all three outer planets 4/23 through 4/28.
During this period, you’ll have more power available for any of Venus’ natural domains: relationships, creativity, and money. Challenge and opportunity are both in the air. Face the first skillfully so you can benefit from the second abundantly!
