2/16 (Thu)
Cognition and communication are strongly and smoothly supported with Mercury sextile Mars (14°29′ Aquarius-Aries). With Mercury in Aquarius, you have increased opportunities for original thinking and intuitive flashes.

No major astrology events.
2/18 (Sat)
Cradle Begins: Mercury-Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus
Learning and communication are powerfully and harmoniously supported by a Mercury-Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus Cradle that starts today (2/18), peaks on 2/22 and ends on 2/25. Spreading ideas that are bold, original and revolutionary is supported by Mercury’s placement in Aquarius and its sextile to Uranus in Aries.
If you’re political (Jupiter), this is a good time to take a disciplined and structured approach (Saturn in Sagittarius, the sign of politics) to your engagement. (Political activism is a prominent theme all year as Jupiter makes hard aspects to Uranus and Pluto.) As Thomas Jefferson, American Founding Father and principal author of the Declaration of Independence, famously said: “All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.”
The Sun enters Pisces at 6:31 AM Eastern. For the next month, you can enjoy enhanced opportunities for spiritual awakening, dream work and inspired creativity. But be careful not to overdo substance abuse, escapism, drifting and playing the victim.
2/19 (Sun)
No major astrology events.
2/20 (Mon)
Today’s Mercury-Uranus sextile (21°44′ Aquarius-Aries) is part of a Mercury-Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus Cradle that started 2/18, peaks 2/22, and ends 2/25. This sextile’s meaning is included in the Cradle’s interpretation.
2/21 (Tue)
Thor’s Hammer: Sun-Vesta-Jupiter
A week-long aspect pattern that can fuel your political activism begins today (2/21) as the Sun, Vesta and Jupiter form a Thor’s Hammer. It peaks on 2/25 and ends on 2/28.
Jupiter rules politics, and is in the justice-loving sign of Libra. Vesta, in compassionate Cancer, represents service to a higher cause. These two planets form the back end of the Thor’s Hammer, and direct their energy toward the Sun in idealistic Pisces. This Thor’s Hammer can also energize your support of whatever cause you find worthy, political or otherwise.
Optimistic and outside-the-box thinking can arise naturally with Aquarian Mercury trine Jupiter (22°45′ Aquarius-Libra). This aspect also supports politically-oriented thinking, since Jupiter rules politics. This trine is part of the Mercury-Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus Cradle that peaks on 2/22 and ends on 2/25.
2/22 (Wed)
Cradle Peaks: Mercury-Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus
The Mercury-Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus Cradle that started on 2/18 peaks today (2/22) and ends on 2/25.
Steer clear of potentially violent people and situations with Mars square Pluto (18°36′ Aries-Capricorn). This aspect can get quite nasty on the low side! Make this square your ally by striving for a worthy cause, stepping up as a leader, or enjoying some ecstatic sacred sex. This square is part of the Mars-Vesta-Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto Grand Cross that peaks on 2/24 and ends on 3/8.
2/23 (Thu)
Today’s Mercury-Saturn sextile (25°24′ Aquarius-Sagittarius) is part of the Mercury-Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus Cradle that continues through 2/25. Please see my interpretation of that cradle to understand this aspect in its larger context.
2/24 (Fri)
Grand Cross Peaks: Mars-Vesta-Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto
The Grand Cross featuring Mars, Vesta, Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto that started on 2/14 peaks today (2/24) and ends on 3/8.
2/25 (Sat)
Thor’s Hammer Peaks: Sun-Vesta-Jupiter
The Sun-Vesta-Jupiter Thor’s Hammer that started on 2/21 peaks today (2/25) and ends on 2/28.
Your feminine assertiveness gets a harmonious boost as Pluto sextiles Pallas (18°41′ Capricorn-Pisces). This sextile also supports strategic thinking and practical creativity.
Mercury transits Pisces today (2/25) through 3/13. When it’s time to make a decision, this will make it easier for you to ask for guidance from your inner wisdom and hear it more easily. Piscean Mercury also supports you in expressing your inspired creativity.
2/26 (Sun)
Pisces Solar Eclipse
A solar eclipse full of spiritual promise takes place at 9:58 AM EST (8°12′ Pisces). Like any Pisces New Moon, this eclipse is ideal for new beginnings in the areas of spiritual awakening, expressing your inspired creativity, and dream work. A solar eclipse is like a supercharged New Moon, with effects lasting six to 12 months.
Astronomy
This annular eclipse will not be visible in North America. The South Node of the Moon is 5° from the luminaries.
Aspects
The closest and most important aspect to this eclipse is Neptune, which forms a conjunction just over 3° from the Sun and Moon. Since Neptune carries the same meaning as Pisces, its presence doubles down on the life-affirming themes already mentioned: spiritual awakening, creativity and dream work. This can also amplify the darker meanings of Pisces and Neptune: substance abuse, excessive escapism, aimlessness and playing the victim. Focusing on the life-affirming themes can give these archetypal energies something better to do!
Mercury is also conjunct the luminaries, about 7° away. This lets you disengage your logical mind, making it easier to receive information and creative inspiration through your intuition. Your higher self is always willing to send you the most helpful guidance available. If you’re not receiving it, it’s most likely because you aren’t asking, haven’t yet developed enough sensitivity to notice it, or aren’t paying attention.

Asteroid Goddesses
Three asteroid goddesses aspect this eclipse. Pallas makes a loose conjunction, helping you to embody more feminine assertiveness and act strategically. Harmonious sextiles from Ceres and Juno open opportunities for prosperity, the healing of old sorrows and the deepening of committed partnerships. These goddesses also form two of the four corners of a Kite. This aspect pattern adds flowing energy to this eclipse.
Energizers
This eclipse receives some get-up-and-go energy from a Uranus-Mars conjunction in Aries, which semi-squares the luminaries. Mars in Aries can help you kickstart your new initiatives. Uranus can help you break free from others’ expectations to chart your authentic course.
Sabian Symbol
This solar eclipse’s Sabian Symbol is, “The race begins: intent on outdistancing his rivals, a jockey spurs his horse to great speed.” This Symbol isn’t the least bit subtle, and doesn’t require much interpretation: decide what you’re going to do and get a move on!
Be on the lookout for unpredictability and volatility as Mars conjoins Uranus (22°0′ Aries). Take this energy to the high side by taking immediate action on your intuitive flashes. This energy is also great for sexual experimentation. This Mars-Uranus conjunction is also part of the Mars-Vesta-Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto Grand Cross that continues through 3/8.
Law of Attraction juju and manifesting your inspired creativity are supported by a Sun-Saturn quintile (8°36′ Pisces-26°36′ Sagittarius).
2/27 (Mon)
Thor’s Hammer Begins: Mercury-Vesta-Jupiter
Just when you thought Thor was done hammering (a Sun-Vesta-Jupiter Thor’s Hammer wraps up on 2/28) he starts up again. The potential of this new week-long aspect pattern, which starts today (2/27), peaks on 3/1 and ends on 3/3, is the same as before.
The back-end planets are identical: Libran Jupiter and Cancerian Vesta. The only changing of the guard is in Pisces, where Mercury steps in for the departing Sun. If anything, Mercury’s presence makes the prior Thor’s Hammer theme of political activism even stronger.
As I noted on 2/21, Jupiter rules politics, and is in the justice-loving sign of Libra. Vesta represents service to a higher cause, and is in the compassionate sign of Cancer. These two planets form the back end of the Thor’s Hammer, and direct their energy toward outspoken Mercury in idealistic Pisces. This Thor’s Hammer can also energize your support of whatever cause you find worthy, political or otherwise.
Today’s Mars-Jupiter opposition (22°5′ Aries-Libra) is part of the Mars-Vesta-Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto Grand Cross that continues through 3/8. The most important meanings of this opposition are included in that Grand Cross interpretation.

Void-of-Course Moons
It’s best to avoid starting important new projects or making major purchases during void-of-course Moons. “Business as usual” is the optimal strategy. Void-of-course Moons occur when the Moon has made her last major Ptolemaic aspect, but has not yet moved into her next sign.

Nice attention to detail – but it’s not clear to me just how Ceres and Pallas weigh in and combine with major planets, in their influence.
