This forecast only contains two events, but they’re both significant: the Winter Solstice chart and a Solar Eclipse in Capricorn. Both events have already happened, but they’re still worth reading about because they’ll influence you for the next 3 to 12 months!
I apologize for the extreme lateness of this forecast posting. As I mentioned in my previous post, my beloved partner Maeikisala suffered a major stroke on December 11. (Her blood pressure has finally stabilized, and she’s now in an inpatient rehab facility.) I’ve been making her my top priority since then, and am pleasantly surprised that I got this forecast written at all!

12/21 (Sat)
Winter Solstice Chart
The Winter Solstice happened on 12/21 at 11:19 PM EST. Like any seasonal chart, it gives a sense of the energetic picture for the next three months.
This solstice is just a few days before the December 26 solar eclipse, which I interpret below. Rather than repeat that material here, please consider everything I say in the “Aspects” section of the Solar Eclipse forecast to be part of this Winter Solstice chart interpretation.
The Scorpio Moon trines and rules this chart’s Cancer North Node. This makes it easier to identify your life purpose through deep emotional resonance. The Moon’s loose opposition to Uranus suggests breaking through old patterns to achieve higher levels. There could also be some emotional shocks.
Mercury squares Neptune, encouraging you to let a constant flow of intuitive knowing shape your thinking. If you’re still trapped in the iron grip of left brain dominance, ask your higher self to inspire you with its divinely inspired thoughts. You can also open this intuitive channel with my Embodied Awakening Invocation.
Venus makes a very tight square to Uranus. If this shakes up a relationship, what paradigm shift would serve its highest good? This square can also give you fresh insight into your creativity and finances.
Venus also sextiles Chiron, inviting healing into your relationships. Finally, Venus quintiles Mars, opening the door to inspired creativity!
A Mini Grand Trine (a trine and two sextiles) is formed by Mars, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto. This opens up a wealth of awesome possibilities, including:
- Acting immediately, easily, and without resistance based on your inner guidance
- the enhanced ecstasy of sacred sex, where you blend both your energetic and physical bodies
- potent, focused action
- effective, inspired leadership
- empowered occult and mystical activities
- intense and effective shadow work
- superpowered Law of Attraction manifestation
This solstice chart also include a Jupiter-Chiron square which I interpreted on 12/8, and a Jupiter-Uranus trine that I interpreted on 12/15.
But the most powerful aspect in the Winter Solstice chart is the mighty Saturn-Pluto conjunction. It’s the most important astrological event of 2020, and will be exact on January 10.
I’ll have a great deal to say about Saturn-Pluto in my January 1-15 forecast. For now, I’ll just say that it’s intense and uncompromising. It will bring up whatever unresolved emotional wounds you need to face, so have your shadow work tools ready.
That which doesn’t serve you can be eliminated, and that which does serve you can be massively empowered. Stand ready to release everything that has outworn its usefulness.
Working with Saturn-Pluto requires courage, perseverance and grit. We’ll all be tested at the micro and macro level. Face these challenges skillfully, and you’ll be rewarded with an extraordinary leap forward into your empowerment and evolution!
12/26 (Thu)
Solar Eclipse
The stars provide an extra Christmas gift as a Solar Eclipse overflowing with opportunity lines up at 4°6′ Capricorn on 12/26 at 12:13 AM EST. (This is still Christmas Day for most of the U.S.)
This will be an annular eclipse. This means that the Moon won’t fully block the Sun, but will create a “ring” effect. This eclipse will be visible in regions such as the Middle East and India, but won’t be visible in the U.S.
Like any Capricorn New Moon, this eclipse supports new beginnings or increased focus on being more mature and responsible. It’s great for effective time management, as well as “planning the work and working the plan”.
A regular New Moon only gives you two weeks to work with its energies. But you can work with the energies of an eclipse for 6 to 12 months! The fact that this is also a tight eclipse, with the lunar nodes only about 4° away from luminaries, makes it even stronger.
Aspects
This eclipse is tightly conjunct Jupiter. This lightens the no-nonsense vibe of Capricorn with joy, opportunity and celebration.
When placed in Capricorn, Jupiter’s natural abundance is activated most strongly when you apply consistent effort. This placement supports practical, down-to-earth teachings and philosophies. If you’re a teacher or wisdom-giver, this eclipse can help you create the infrastructure that will support the spread of your message. If you’re a student, you can dive into your studies with discipline and enthusiasm!

Chiron squares the luminaries, inviting you to use your gifts as a mentor or healer. Chiron can also bring up shadow work, so have a good technique ready to process any challenging emotions that come up. (Lots of people find my free Healing Invocation helpful for this.)
The final slower planet influencing this eclipse is Uranus, which trines the Sun and Moon. This can help you receive intuitive flashes more easily. These “I just know it in my bones” insights come direct from your higher self, and provide the most accurate guidance possible. You can then use Capricorn’s efficient managerial energy to map out appropriate action steps.
The Uranus trine also encourages you to step out as your authentic self. This can help offset Capricorn’s tendency to unthinkingly follow tradition and not rock the boat.
The final eclipse aspect worth noting here is a loose conjunction to Mercury. This reinforces the learn/teach energies already contributed by Jupiter.
Whatever your Sun Sign, my forecasts can help you make the best use of the current astrological energies.
