2016’s most powerful eclipse headlines the first half of March. Five challenging aspect patterns involving Jupiter and Saturn — most of them adding even more intensity to the eclipse — also stand front and center. Law of Attraction and spiritual embodiment opportunities are especially strong … thanks mainly to a four-month Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune T-square!

No major astrology events.
3/2 (Wed)
Let your intuitive flashes guide you in your relating, creating and finances with Venus sextile Uranus (18°23′ Aquarius-Aries). Even a radical departure from the norm may be harmoniously supported!
3/3 (Thu)
The themes lit up by yesterday’s Venus-Uranus sextile receive additional expansion from today’s Venus-Jupiter quincunx (18°56′ Aquarius-Virgo). These include outside-the-box approaches to relationships, creative expression and money. The quincunx suggests awkwardness that may require adjustment to harmonize.
3/4 (Fri)
You can be inspired to achieve breakthrough thinking, especially in practical matters, with Mercury quintile Saturn (28°1′ Aquarius-16°1′ Sagittarius).
3/5 (Sat)
T-square: Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune
One of 2016’s most important astrological events kicks off today: a Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune T-square. This powerful aspect pattern lasts nearly four months, beginning on 3/5, peaking on 5/9 and ending on 7/1.
Even an aspect pattern containing slower planets such as these wouldn’t usually last so long. But all three planets change direction while the T-square is active, making its extended run possible.
Astrology’s hard aspects may be challenging, but they’re not bad. Nothing stimulates action better than hard aspects, and a T-square (a geometrical right triangle) contains a 180° opposition and two 90° squares.
Law of Attraction Possibilities
What action can you take under this Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune T-square? For starters, this can energize Law of Attraction work in a big way. In the context of manifestation, Neptune represents visualization and Saturn represents crystallization. Jupiter amplifies this effect, and can even add a measure of luck!
Since you’re a human being in a free will zone, you can use this enhanced Law of Attraction juju to reshape the highly convincing hologram we call “reality” however you wish. (Many have found my free article, “The Law of Attraction Made Simple,” helpful in manifesting their desires.) But if you want to take full advantage of this T-square’s astrological support, consider the mutable signs these three planets occupy throughout this T-square:
- Jupiter is in Virgo
- Saturn is in Sagittarius
- Neptune is in Pisces.
A Law of Attraction outcome that combines some archetypal possibilities of these three signs would receive special support. While there are lots of creative ways to blend these energies, here are some worthwhile combinations you might want to manifest:
- Expanded spiritual service
- Inspired creative refinement
- Crafting and implementing a plan to bring more divine consciousness into your religious practice
- Letting the flow of divine inspiration guide you to a disciplined, wisdom-expanding educational opportunity (formal or self-guided)
- Embarking on an adventurous path of divinely guided service
- Making a habit of doing things that help you embody more divine joy!
Spiritual Embodiment
Another way to make use of this T-square is to deepen your spiritual embodiment, sometimes referred to as “ascension” or “the marriage of heaven and earth.” In this context, Neptune is divine consciousness, while Saturn is physical embodiment. Jupiter once again provides amplified support for whatever Neptune and Saturn are up to.
I’ve been consciously deepening my spiritual embodiment for about the last five years, and know hundreds of others on this path who are enjoying the same or similar benefits. For me, surrendering ever more deeply to my inner guidance is the most important and rewarding thing I do!
I enjoy ever-increasing amounts of harmony, flow, ease and grace. More and more, I just know things intuitively instead of having to figure them out. Mental chatter and negative emotions are increasingly rare, allowing me to enjoy more equanimity and positive feelings.
I know lots of people who can get to ecstatic states by doing spiritual practices, but lose those sweet feelings once they ground back into physical reality. Spiritual embodiment brings both worlds together. It lets you experience the bliss of your divine presence, along with all the benefits described above, as you go through your regular daily activities.
My free Heal & Awaken Invocations have given many people a quick, easy and effective way to deepen their spiritual embodiment. If you’d like ongoing support in this process by phone or web, I also offer EASE: the Embodied Awakening Support Experience.
There are many wonderful paths that can help you awaken or deepen your spiritual integration. Do whatever works best for you!
Structural Disintegration & Inspired Reconstruction
Funny thing about us humans: even when the advantages of moving in a new direction are obvious, we can still be slow to let go of what we know. This can be true even when our “comfort zone” keeps getting less and less comfortable!
That’s why you may not be thrilled right off the bat about another powerful way that this Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune T-square can work: structural disintegration. In this context, Saturn is structure, Neptune is dissolution, and Jupiter once again amps the whole thing up.
During this T-square, notice how the important structures in your life are faring. These could be physical, relational, or conceptual. Are they holding steady, with strong energetic support? Then they’re probably in alignment with your soul purpose, and it’s fine to keep them in place. But if they’re dissolving away, consider whether it might be best to release them. Or perhaps a conscious restructuring could re-energize them.
As an old Zen story teaches, you can’t pour fresh tea into a cup that’s already full. And as the four seasons remind us, everything has a time to be born, grow and mature — and, inevitably and appropriately, a time to wither and die. Keep your life vital and aligned with your soul purpose by releasing everything in your life that has outlived its usefulness!
Inspired reconstruction follows structural disintegration just as day follows night. For more on this, see The Law of Attraction section above.

Mercury receives a last-minute aspect on the brink of its departure from Aquarius: a Mercury-Mars square (29°40′ Aquarius-Scorpio). If you find yourself tempted to launch into a shocking verbal attack, please realize that this is not the most enlightened use of this aspect! A better use might be to awaken others to new possibilities by sharing enlightening information. Mars lets you do this dynamically and assertively, but doesn’t require you to beat someone upside the head with your message to get your point across.
Mars enters Sagittarius today (3/5), turns retrograde on 4/17 at 8°53′ Sagittarius, then retrogrades back into Scorpio on 5/27. The Red Planet will re-enter Sagittarius on 8/2, then finally make it through to Capricorn on 9/27.
Sagittarian Mars can fire up your enthusiasm for higher learning, religion, and philosophy. It can bring out the adventurer in you, spurring a desire for foreign travel or adventures in consciousness. This is a great time for new starts in these areas, or for adding fresh energy to Sagittarian pursuits already underway.
Mars isn’t the only planet changing signs today: Mercury transits Pisces today (3/5) thru 3/21. This makes it easier to receive creative inspiration, and lets your conscious mind receive a constant flow of intuitive guidance. Those who are less spiritually conscious may experience some confusion or fogginess. Many have found my free Heal & Awaken Invocations helpful in connecting more deeply with their divine intelligence.
3/6 (Sun)
Jupiter-Uranus Quincunx
Today’s Jupiter-Uranus quincunx (18°33′ Virgo-Aries) is in orb for a full year, from late September 2015 through late September 2016. This gives you an extended opportunity for innovative (perhaps even radical!) adjustments to your beliefs, philosophies and religious practices. How about some new learning or foreign travel to shake up your old way of seeing things?
With Jupiter in Virgo, consider new approaches to your health maintenance, service to others and routine procedures. And with Uranus in Aries, pioneering a bold new direction may be just the ticket!
Yod: Pallas Athena-Jupiter-Uranus
An opportunity to jump-start your feminine assertiveness and strategic expertise is provided by a Pallas Athena-Jupiter-Uranus Yod. It starts today (3/6), peaks on 3/14 and ends on 3/20. This aspect pattern also invites you to let your authentic self shine forth more fully in the world.
Today’s Sun-Saturn square (16°5′ Pisces-Sagittarius) is part of the Sun-Jupiter-Saturn T-square that started on 2/29, peaks on 3/7 and ends on 3/11.
Any Sun-Pluto sextile (17°2′ Pisces-Capricorn) can harmoniously empower personal transformation and wealth creation. With the Sun in Pisces, spiritual empowerment and increased creative inspiration are also on offer.
3/7 (Mon)
T-square: Sun-Jupiter-Saturn
Law of Attraction work, divine union practices and inspired creativity are energized as the Piscean Sun forms a T-square with Jupiter and Saturn. But this could also stimulate substance abuse, excessive escapism, playing the victim in relationship or suffering from a general sense of aimlessness. Put a disciplined focus on spirituality and creativity to take this energy to the high side!
This Sun-Jupiter-Saturn T-square began on 2/29, peaks today (3/7) and ends on 3/11.
Inspired, adventurous action is jazzed up by a Mars-Jupiter quintile (1°27′ Sagittarius-18°27′ Virgo). Don’t bite off more than you can chew, but do follow your enthusiasm! Teaching, higher learning, religion, philosophy and foreign cultures are a few areas that might catch your interest now.
3/8 (Tue)
Solar Eclipse
2016’s most intense solar eclipse lines up today (3/8) at 8:54 pm US eastern time (18°55′ Pisces). A solar eclipse is like a New Moon on steroids, and is an extremely powerful time for new beginnings. The themes energized by this eclipse will remain strong for six months to a year.
Let’s start with the basics. Any New Moon in Pisces is great for new beginnings in the areas of divine union practices, dreamwork and inspired creativity. On the challenge side, be careful not to overdo mind-altering substances, escapism, victimhood or aimlessness.
Aspects
When interpreting an eclipse, the first aspect to consider is the one between the luminaries and the lunar nodes. An eclipse occurs when the New or Full Moon is within 18.5° of the nodes. Closer proximity to the nodes creates a more powerful eclipse.
In this Pisces solar eclipse, the Sun and Moon are only about 3° from the South Node. That’s very close! The South Node holds unresolved karma from the past, from this life and previous ones. Challenging emotions may come up to be cleared. The South Node is also a storehouse of previously developed gifts and talents, which can be cultivated to an even higher level in this lifetime.
T-squares Galore!
Tight nodal proximity isn’t the only thing that makes this lunation a powerhouse. Amazingly, this eclipse lines up with three T-squares made up of slower planets:
- a Ceres-Jupiter-Saturn T-square,
- a Jupiter-Saturn-Chiron T-square, and
- a Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune T-square!
As you can see, all three T-squares include Jupiter and Saturn. The other T-square members are conjunct the Piscean Sun and Moon: Ceres, Chiron and Neptune.
I’ve linked these T-squares to my original interpretations if you’d like an in-depth look at them. But here’s a summary of their main points.
Ceres-Jupiter-Saturn T-square
Started 2/25, peaks 3/12, ends 3/27
Ceres represents financial abundance. In Pisces, she’s especially receptive to visualization and Law of Attraction-style manifestation.
Jupiter provides expansive energy to support your enhanced prosperity. Saturn can help you create a blueprint for your multiplied abundance, then maintain the discipline and focus to carry it out.
Jupiter-Saturn-Chiron T-square
Started 2/14, peaks 3/25, ends 4/1
If you’re willing to work through the childhood wounds, shadow material and past life karma this T-square stirs up, it can help you become a more psychologically whole being who can relate more harmoniously with others.
Chiron catalyzes wounding to show us where we need to heal. It also supports us in our growth as healers, mentors and awakeners. The whole world will be facing its shadow material, individually and collectively, during March and the second half of February. (Is anyone doing a better job of showing the United States its shadow right now than Donald Trump?)
If you get some challenging emotions stirred up under this Jupiter-Saturn-Chiron T-square, embrace it as an opportunity. The more you clear or transmute all that heavy energy, the more easily you’ll hold a more blissful awakened consciousness. In my experience, it’s 100% worth the effort!
Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune T-square
Began 3/5, peaks 5/9, ends 7/1
I interpreted the Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune T-square in this forecast post on 3/5. Its themes include Law of Attraction possibilities and spiritual embodiment, as well as structural disintegration and inspired reconstruction.
To put the icing on the cake, the Sun-Jupiter-Saturn T-square I interpreted on 3/7 is also woven into this eclipse. It started on 2/29, peaked on 3/7 and ends on 3/11. However, all the archetypal themes in this T-square are contained within the other three T-squares.
The Pluto-Uranus Square
The aspects discussed so far would be enough to make this solar eclipse a force to be reckoned with. But we’re nowhere near done! Next we need to look at the Uranus-Pluto square.
Uranus and Pluto have been square for years. If you’ve been paying any attention at all to my forecasts, you know that this dynamic duo represents revolutionary transformation. In this solar eclipse, Uranus makes an extremely tight semi-sextile to the luminaries, while Pluto makes a tight sextile.
This adds significant additional energy to the eclipse: big change can happen fast! To engage Pluto’s high side,
- Release all that doesn’t serve you, and
- Surrender to your inner divine guidance to embody maximum power to serve.
Uranus’ high side prescription is:
- Follow your intuitive flashes,
- Be your authentic human self, and
- Joyously serve the collective with your greatest gifts!
The Asteroid Goddesses
Three of the four asteroid goddesses aspect this eclipse. Foremost is Ceres, who is tightly conjunct the luminaries. She’s also part of the Ceres-Jupiter-Saturn T-square discussed above.
Juno trines the Sun and Moon, opening the door to easier flow and connection in your committed partnerships. Finally, a Pallas Athena semi-sextile asks if you’d like to develop your feminine assertiveness and strategic skills more deeply.
Sabian Symbol
The Sabian Symbol for this solar eclipse is, “A master instructing his disciple.” No matter how great their mastery, the wisest people I know identify themselves first and foremost as disciples. The more I learn, the more I become aware of how much I don’t know!
If you only tackled the themes in this solar eclipse, you’d have more than enough to make you a very busy disciple for many lifetimes. If any of these themes resonate for you, dive in and learn. If you follow your enthusiasm, there’s always more insight and wisdom to embody!
Thor’s Hammer: Vesta-Jupiter-Saturn
As if we didn’t already have enough aspect patterns involving Jupiter and Saturn, yet another one begins today. This relatively brief Vesta-Jupiter-Saturn Thor’s Hammer — a 90° square and two 135° sesquares — starts on 3/8, peaks on 3/12 and ends on 3/15.
Vesta represents selfless service to a higher cause. Her placement in Taurus suggests that this service should be tangibly manifested in the physical world.
Vesta and Sacred Sex: No Connection Whatsoever
For quite a while, I’ve been writing that Vesta can also represent sacred sexual connection. After doing further research on this, I believe that I was wrong about this. The 30-year vow of celibacy was so important for the Vestal Virgins of ancient Rome that they were put to death if they broke it! I remain enthusiastic about sacred sex, but apologize for falsely stating that it has any astrological correlation with Vesta.
Today’s Sun-Jupiter opposition (18°18′ Pisces-Virgo), considered unto itself, can be a substantial energy booster and pump up your joie de vivre. It’s also part of the Sun-Jupiter-Saturn T-square discussed on 3/7.
3/9 (Wed)
No major astrology events.
3/10 (Thu)
While a Sun-Chiron conjunction (21°1′ Pisces) can trigger old wounds, it can also deepen your power as a healer or mentor. With the Sun in Pisces, spiritual flavors of healing and mentoring are especially supported.
New inspirations in relationships, creativity and finance can be made manifest more easily with Venus quintile Saturn (28°13′ Aquarius-16°13′ Sagittarius).
3/11 (Fri)
T-square: Mercury-Jupiter-Saturn
When it rains, it pours: Jupiter and Saturn gain yet another T-square partner as Mercury sweeps through Pisces. The presence of the winged messenger may inspire you to learn more about spiritual or creative matters, or communicate what you already know. But Mercury will act more generally as a trigger, energizing the T-squares it aligns with.
As a side note, the presence of personal trigger planets is one of the things making the current batch of Jupiter-Saturn T-squares so powerful. The Sun came through the Pisces T-square “hot zone” about a week and a half ahead of Mercury. And Venus will be along less than two weeks behind Mercury to add still more energy to these powerful aspect patterns! (More on that in my March 16-31 forecast.)
This Mercury-Jupiter-Saturn T-square begins today (3/11), peaks on 3/14 and ends on 3/18.
“Make my mind your mind. Make my thoughts your thoughts.” No, this isn’t Mr. Spock doing a Vulcan mind meld. They’re things you can say to your higher self to take advantage of a Mercury-Neptune conjunction (9°55′ Pisces).
Mercury is human thought, while Neptune and Pisces are intuitive knowledge. The more you open to the guidance of your divine intelligence, the easier the management of your human life will become!
3/12 (Sat)
Enhanced opportunities for financial abundance receive harmonious stimulation with Pluto sextile Ceres (17°8′ Capricorn-Pisces). Ceres grieved inconsolably when Pluto abducted her daughter Persephone, so this aspect can also trigger some old emotional wounds for healing. (You may find my free healing invocation helpful.)
This Pluto-Ceres sextile came into orb on 2/14 and will remain energetically active through 4/7.
T-square Peaks: Ceres-Jupiter-Saturn
The Ceres-Jupiter-Saturn T-square that started on 2/25 peaks today (3/12) and ends on 3/27.
Thor’s Hammer Peaks: Vesta-Jupiter-Saturn
The Vesta-Jupiter-Saturn Thor’s Hammer that started on 3/8 peaks today (3/12) and ends on 3/15.
Venus transits Pisces today (3/12) thru 4/5. The presence of the Love Goddess in the Sign of the Fishes empowers inspired creativity and a deeper soul connection with those you love.
3/13 (Sun)
Today’s Jupiter-Ceres opposition (17°37′ Virgo-Pisces) is part of the Ceres-Jupiter-Saturn T-square that peaked yesterday.
3/14 (Mon)
Without conscious management, today’s Venus-Mars square (3°0′ Pisces-Sagittarius) could result in relationship conflict. This is more likely if you have a perpetrator (Mars in Sagittarius) / victim (Venus in Pisces) dynamic going on.
Take it to the high side instead by taking time for sacred sexual connection. Ecstatic intimacy is also supported by a Venus-Pluto sesquare (2°10′ Pisces-17°10′ Capricorn). The Venus-Mars square is also great for inspired, adventurous creativity and deeper connection with your divine source.
Yod Peaks: Pallas Athena-Jupiter-Uranus
The Pallas Athena-Jupiter-Uranus Yod that began on 3/6 peaks today (3/14) and ends on 3/20.
T-square Peaks: Mercury-Jupiter-Saturn
The Mercury-Jupiter-Saturn T-square that began on 3/11 peaks today (3/14) and ends on 3/18.
Today’s Mercury-Saturn square (16°18′ Pisces-Sagittarius) is part of the Mercury-Jupiter-Saturn T-square that started on 3/11.
3/15 (Tue)
The first half of March concludes with Mercury making two aspects. The first is a Mercury-Pluto sextile (17°11′ Pisces-Capricorn), which supports investigation, research and occult practices. With Mercury in Pisces, spiritual and creative topics might have special resonance.
The second Mercury aspect, a Mercury-Jupiter opposition (17°24′ Pisces-Virgo), is part of the Mercury-Jupiter-Saturn T-square that started on 3/11.
Void-of-Course Moons
It’s best to avoid starting important new projects or making major purchases during void-of-course Moons. “Business as usual” is the optimal strategy. Void-of-course Moons occur when the Moon has made her last major Ptolemaic aspect, but has not yet moved into her next sign.
