This best-of event features two radically contrasting healing sessions using Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)!

In our first 23-minute round, Nicole makes a valiant attempt to heal a part burdened with agoraphobia (fear of leaving the house). However, we meet unrelenting resistance from other parts. We eventually respect their refusal to cooperate and stop her session. 

Despite this setback, this session demonstrates techniques you can use to help reluctant parts let healing proceed. Even though they don’t work here, these persuasion techniques are almost always successful when I use them with my clients.

Our other love seat round is a 50-minute session with Julie focused on abandonment. Happily, her parts are consistently cooperative.

Her exile (wounded part) first appears in her inner world as a 4-year-old girl, protectively curled up in a ball. But, by the end of her round, she transforms into a magnificent being of light. 

This reintegrated part bathes Julie’s entire system with euphoric divine radiance. Don’t be surprised if you’re also blessed by this amazing energy!

This “Invocation Practice” event goes in some unusual and enlightening directions!

We began by establishing our sacred container, followed by a thoroughly described Embodied Awakening Invocation.

Next we deal with a member’s “healing emergency” involving her stomach and intestines. I teach a great deal about the nuances of the Healing Invocation as I guide her into greater ease and harmony. This includes an in-depth discussion about whether it’s better to call on your higher self or other divine helpers.

Another member asks for guidance on what kind of invocation will help her most effectively channel information from her higher self. After discussing optimal phrasings, I suggest experimenting with verbal channeling methods that are faster than typing or handwriting, such as Google Docs’ wonderful voice typing feature. 

We also discuss healing across dimensions and incarnations, crafting invocation phrasings that “don’t tie God’s hands,” and taking a creative and experimental approach to invocations.

How can our divine allies call this event “best-of” when it begins so chaotically? Perhaps because it shows how something worthwhile can emerge from a challenging start!

This event’s messy beginning was my fault. Although I had designated this as a free public event at the start of the month, I forgot that when I created our weekly update email. There, and also in that morning’s reminder email, I sent members a unique Zoom link for this event. But non-members were signing in to the link we always use for free public events. 

I won’t burden you by describing the hoops I jumped through to sort all this out. In fact, I deleted the first nine minutes of the recording to spare you that experience.

I will, however, give big thanks and a special commendation to Stu. He took the initiative to jump onto our Signal chat group and tell his fellow members which Zoom room we were in. Kudos on your quick thinking and decisive action, Stu!

I eventually got my stride, but then my singing voice started breaking up at the end of “Sunarai.” I acknowledged that I was experiencing challenging energies, and used some hape’ to help me.
